That gnome assured me that this was some kind of bracket fungus, there were little red beads on it and while I don’t recall the tree type - it was in Warwickshire. Thoughts?

Wanted to give this a grotesquery/Victorian vibe, maybe the type of thing found in a curiosity shop near Llangollen in 1984.

One my favorite projects, a wedge of the LA ‘river’, I also took photos of the tagging in the area and created overglaze decals as a part of the glazing. Mostly underglazes otherwise and spot clear.

Based on a couple of people suggesting, I’m attempting a light switch panel. Made a template from a standard and enlarged to accommodate 11% shrinkage…probably would benefit from an engineered 3D printed press mold but trying by hand..

I’m thinking the oval (2) - 1,2 or 3 - or none..?

Mine is in porcelain with underglaze coated in a clear crackle.

I’m typically not a very symmetrical sculptor but this has been a fun exercise - to build upon a consistent style.

Magma glaze came out great on the face but less texture on the black for some reason. Stress fracture on the inside didn’t make it to the surface which is good. Going to improve build process and drying method - maybe not porcelain, something with a bit of grog?

Hare number 13, i often go back to sculpting the same thing to benchmark progress.

The air must’ve been compressed because when I punctured it, it ‘exhaled’..

..making ceramic frog heads.

Had this idea to make a small vase from the neck and head of a peacock and then the flowers can make up the ‘crown’ or crest.. was just going to do a basic white cracquel glaze - thoughts?
