Face portraits
Part Opie, part Iwamura, part Noh. Mask series in porcelain, might try to pit fire these fellows.
The Crocodile Commission
The rare situation where that glaze gods were kind, I used several types of wash gloss over an underglaze base done on greeware. I think the body was BMix.
A Tuna Head
This is large (1:1 probably) piece I believe I sculpted in porcelain that needed some kintsugi to resolve itself..I know it’s not entirely anatomical correct but it was inspired by a visit to Tsukiji.
Ceramic Vhagar
I got a prolonged urge after watching HOD to make Vhagar. This is sculpted and fired in mid range (can’t remember if it was some porcelain or BMIX). Then layered and washes of of underglaze and finished with clear, black and brown gloss. It’s about 18” and has held up - I sold it but never know what to price these things at..thoughts?
Wiltshire, UK. What are these?
Scaly Wood Mushroom or Blushing Wood Mushrooms? My gnome Foggy insists on the former…
Where is Foggy Longbottom?
Where precisely in the world is this Longshore Gnome?
Woodland Gnome
This is Timber, a woodland gnome - more specifically a treetop gnome! Rarely seen on the forest floor, they typically occupy the upper canopy and move from forest to wood on the back of ravens and rooks. Sometimes they will venture to the lower branch’s to trade with the Longshores and other gnome communities…back the development of the Timber here!
[self] I sculpted in porcelain then repeated in resin..
An eldritch Hare sculpt I did in porcelain, then had 150 made in resin. The box illustrations are by @mrsvengsouk and I designed the package. It’s based on when I used to go with my grandfather rabbit hunting with ferrets. The ears are boxed seperate so they were more cost effective to ship and didn’t break in transit. I know that last image is a flex but it was a wild moment..
Heading to Norway with this gnome..
Anybody been to Drøbak or recos for going to Oslo?
Ceramic Lofi Sci-fi landscape
So I’ve been obsessed with this idea of ceramic landscapes invaded by probes (of nebulous origin) that mine for minerals and leave their fairings embedded in the landscape. I’ve also done paintings and drawing of the concept - thoughts?
Development for Longshore Gnome
As I went through the development, I wanted to marry structural integrity (I.e. don’t skip leg day) and styling. Part of me wanted to keep the pointy hat but thing of the original conceit of a modern gnome - I went for a beanie..also to make him a bit different, I added sunglasses. Folk seem to be split on glasses 3:1 for..
Developing a line of stylish gnomes..
First one is the Longshore, a coastal tribe know for bawdy shanties, lavender grog and trading coral. I’ve been a toy designer for a few decades and thought I’d like to do my take. My first Reddit post!
