Recently, I commented on a post arguing against Kelce ranking as a top 3 TE for 2026. I received quite a bit of pushback on that from completely unbiased chiefs fans (XD). I dug through some stats to support my thesis. All stats are 2025

Yes, kelce did have the 4th most receiving yards with 851, behind McBride, Pitts and Juwan Johnson (surprising). He beat the following tight ends who I believe clearly rank higher than him moving forward

Warren (817 yards) - Daniel jones got injured mid season. Younger, all around better, no debate

Fannin (731 yards) - was much improved with shadeur and now isnt splitting time with Njoku. Guy is a stud

Loveland (713 yards - really turned it on down the stretch and now offense is down dj Moore / odunze is already hurt

Bowers - hurt all season, abysmal offense under chip Kelly / Geno smith - no further comments needed

Kittle (628 yards) - hurt all season

Tucker Kraft - was TE1 prior to going down with injury

Kelce’s yards per reception placed 28th amongst all TEs at 11.2, and will continue to drop as she has shown noticeably less burst.

Kelces yards per target was 34th amongst all TEs at 8.1, showing consistently less upside.

Kelce caught 5 TDs, placing 14th at the position. Over the last 3 years, he’s caught a combined 13 TDs. In the 3 years before that, he caught 32 total…

Updated rankings of tight ends I’d happily take above kelce

Loveland
Warren

Pitts
Goedert
Ferguson
Kittle (pending a clean bill of health)

Fannin

From here, it’s somewhat up for debate. Kelce is in the TE13-15 range, but I’d still rather wait and snag Kincaid, Andrews, likely. Heck even freakin chig okonkwo or Gunnar helm way later. I love Gadsden too but Njoku prob hurts his upside. Even Kenyon sadiq in the 11th round is way better value than kelce in the 4th.

Digging for more advanced stats such as YPRR, YAC, etc which I have no doubt will further prove my point.

TLDR: kelce is not only not a top-3, he is officially a fringe top-12-15

Lay it on me chiefs fans (hopefully this friendly, high-effort post is not breaking the rule of zero anti-chiefs content. I write this with respect for the fan base, love of the game, and of course, acknowledging that kelce has had an unbelievable career)

Something I picked up on during my 2nd time watching:

Shortly before the car scene, Freaky Nikki is sleeping and real Nikki breaks through, at which point Bear and and Nikki have the famous exchange:

“Kill me Bear”
“What’s so bad about being with me”
“I’ve never been with you, Bear”

Nikki is BEGGING to be killed while Bear cowardly sneaks away.

Fast forward to the car scene, after Nikki smashes Sarah’s face, Nikki’s words are a little more vengeful and out of character. This is where I hypothesize regular Nikki snuck in some thoughts because she was pissed Bear just bailed on her / didn’t put her out of her misery. To paraphrase,

“Sarah’s dead and it’s all your fault. You chose this! You wished for this!”

This was really interesting to me because I think regular Nikki was finally being vengeful / spiteful. No, I do not think regular Nikki had anything to do with Sarah’s murder, but once the murder was done, I believe regular Nikki was popping in to say “see what you did you f**king idiot”

would have worked PERFECTLY in my opinion, but Ian sabotaged Bear.

Ian and Nikki were hooking up for 2 years in a non-romantic casual way, and it seems like something happened to where Ian messed it up and thinks Nikki has reason to get back at him (Ian’s words).

In the beginning, when Bear is reciting his speech, Ian is saying “ew no, Nikki hates that stuff” but maybe he was feeling regret that he didn’t express feelings to Nikki sooner. Maybe he knew Nikki was craving something more serious, linked to when she says things to Bear such as “I can only talk to you about things like this.”

Makes it that much sadder that the events transpired the way they did, because this movie could’ve been a real romance. Instead, just another love story (iykyk)

It goes without saying that the wording of the wish is extremely important / risky when it comes to making a successful wish.

What question would you ask and how would you phrase it?
