I know many people have a soft spot for her, but that was clear fishing for compliments.

It started with her telling her team that she does what she wants for her own artistry and her team members reminding her that she has immunity and it’s not fair for her to sink their team by not being cohesive. Then she runs to Tim and asks if she’s a good designer and he says “uhhh you won last week“ and then she says she being bullied.

I found the whole situation annoying, especially because the judges clearly said had she not had immunity, she should’ve gone home

hi! I’m incredibly new to all of this, so hoping this is the right place to ask.

my boyfriend is military and is gone a lot and likely deploying. we find that games are a fun way to feel connected in his absence.

he‘s seasoned, i am not. he gifted me a switch 2 and takes his pc with him when he travels. In person, we play mostly Mario kart and unraveled 2, and so far in distance we’ve played split fiction and overcooked 2.

i‘m willing to try just about anything, but I’m still learning (although he’s super patient with me)

please give me some ideas!

I loved Kara most of her times on the show, but her whole thing with the shoes custom designed and manufactured by her friend at Dollhouse for the finale was insane. The contract clearly said they couldn’t have any work done for free, but could use the Michael Kors shoes. The way she threw a fit about how she was being “penalized for having style” after she tried to get the shoes valued at $10/pair and Tim said no was so annoying. She compared the shoes she had made by an established brand to custom match her outfits to shoes Jay and Wendy got at second hand stores and other cheaper vendors.

Who are you taking if the three past designer judges are given a PR challenge? You can pick the challenge (RTW, unconventional, red carpet, etc).

All three are skilled sewers, and they’re doing it on their own.

Just finished my rewatch through season 21, I just have a few all stars seasons to finish.

Has there been a season where someone has underperformed so much during the season (no wins, very few high scores) and gone on to win the whole thing like VeeJay did?

My rewatch has taken forever so I’m kind of drawing a blank.

Why is Taylor the one everyone talks about when Lady Gaga (whom I love), Kenny Chesney, Luke Bryan, P Diddy, Jay Z, Travis Scott, Blake Shelton, etc using their jets more than she does?

and that’s just musical artists…Judge Judy uses her jet more than Taylor does…

She loves green, Ivy, plants, etc.

She wants a spa day, I can plan that with her boyfriend but I’m in charge of the cake and decorating our house (we’re roommates, best friends for decades)

any ideas on a style, supplies, cake theme, decor is greatly appreciated!

I’m far from a Tessa apologist given her reaction when she first had a plus sized model, but when the challenge came to choose a social issue they felt strongly about and she chose DV/rape and made a stunning look outlining the body of the model with a pull away fabric that said “mine”, I was FLOORED by the guest judge saying she was trying to “box women into one body type” with her design.

Not only did she have a plus size model and execute it beautifully, the t shirt she made reflected how women’s breasts actually lay (no bra) and was wearable for all sizes.

wtf was wrong with that guest judge

Having tools outside of the workroom has been against the rules since season 1.

In other seasons, even as the sponsors dropped in quality, the make up artistry was still decent.

Hell, the show started with drugstore make up and it still looked great. When the designers asked for a look, it usually translated.

In the MLM years, they’d ask for a “bold eye” and get a light dusting of shadow.

I guess they all had bad make up so the playing field was even but my god it was bad seasons 14-16

It drives me bonkers that goes from yellow duck to blue horse to green frog. SWITCH THEM YOU HEATHENS.

In the season 11 reunion, a lot of designers brought up Heidi’s favoritism of Patricia and mentioned that they wouldn’t have gotten away with certain designs and technical failings if it weren't for the judges knowing it was hers.

The next season, we get the blind runway, where they score designs pre-runway (but can still eliminate how they see fit)

Is this widely accepted as a direct response to Heidi’s favoritism or just a greater response to the whole “one day you’re in, one day you’re out, we don’t take former challenges into this one” thing?

I’m on a rewatch and can’t help but notice that designers I remember being really good really didn’t produce many, if any, good looks on their original run of the show.

One that really sticks out to me is Ivy. Most of her challenge looks are basic and boring, but her outside work is mostly well done.
