People in this sub usually ask for recommendations on good novels, so I'm asking for the opposite. What are some terrible books you've read that had pretentious/hypocritical MC/authors(?). Or maybe some popular and highly recommended novel you've read that you thought was complete slop.
I will not give names, but seriously, for most of their schemes to work the entire world has to lose around 40-50 IQ points.
I'm a little sleep deprived and I haven't really been paying any attention to the current meta but is there such a trend as "weak MC doesn't get cheats handed to them on a silver platter and has to use their brains to survive" ?
As in, when you read the synopsis it sounded very interesting to you, and as you read, it does technically deliver what was promised but does it in such a poor way that you drop the novel and never wanna go back.
