Cracked inner bowl - is this bad?

I have no idea how long it's been like this. I rarely take this out. My BGE is ~10 years old. Today I decided to pull everything out of the egg and do a deep clean, and I found these two cracks. This might literally be the 2nd time in it's life I've removed this piece, so it's not from handling. I've had a hard time holding temp lately, but I've been thinking it might be the gasket - which has never been replaced. But I'm wondering about these cracks. The exterior ceramic "egg" (both upper and lower) are perfectly fine. Mostly I'm wondering if I should worry about these cracks in the inner bowl. Thanks

Replacement base for glass feeder - help with finding the right one

I bought this glass feeder from our local Blue Seal two or three years ago. It wasn't cheap. The base is rusting and has broken, and I want to replace it. Weirdly, the only replacement base Blue Seal carries doesn't fit the feeder they sell, and their only suggestion was "look online". I have looked everywhere online and everything seems to be listed as 1.77" width for the neck where it threads in. Measuring mine it appears to be 1.5". I took a chance and ordered one from Amazon that said "fits nearly all feeders" .... nope. Not this one. Apparently, the base that is broken and rusting is not manufactured and sold as a replacement and is specific to this one and only glass feeder in the world! Lol. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Also, just for fun, here's a video of some hummingbirds visiting the feeder. Sorry for low resolution. I couldn't upload it in higher quality for some reason.

What are my mounting options for a flat roof?

I have a second generation Starlink at home, pole mounted at the gable end of my house. I just ordered this one pictured for my wife’s business that’s in a commercial building with a flat roof. I was expecting to put it on a pole on the roof but I don’t see how I’d attach this style dish to any kind of mount. It looks designed to be just laid on the ground, at least as shown on the wordless instruction diagram that come with it. That actually might work for my application, but I don’t see how someone would want to do that at a residence.

In any case, is it as simple as me just propping it up with its built-in kick stand on the roof? Is it secure that way from winds? What if we get 2 feet of snow? Even with the snow melt feature, shouldn’t it be up higher than ground level?

Buyer refused delivery, says "Postage Overcharge" and wants me to refund

I got the message below last night from a buyer asking me to refund "postal cost overcharge". I''m not sure what he means exactly, but it's probably one of two things:

  1. the Post Office might be saying the package was shipped with insufficient postage. But, I generated the shipping label from eBay calculated using the exact weight and dimensions and shipped Ground. Package weighed 8 oz and was 4.5" x 7" x 1" and went from VT to WI (USA) and eBay calculated shipping as $5.89. Weight and cost information is right on the eBay generated shipping label.
  2. the buyer might be mad I didn't charge him the exact shipping cost. I charged $7.50, so maybe he's asking me to refund the $1.61 I charged over the actual cost, and has refused delivery until I do so? I always list my auctions with a FLAT RATE fee to all buyers and restrict shipping destinations to within the USA. I don't have the time to mess around with invoicing after an item sells to calculate the exact cost to their door, then sending an updated invoice, then printing the label. I've done it enough to know what's going to be close, and I just set a Flat Rate. Sometimes I'm under and I lose a bit, sometimes I'm over and I gain a bit.

eBay provides the ability to set a FLAT RATE, and the auction was clearly listed as a FLAT RATE shipping in the auction listing, so I don't think this guy is being reasonable. If he didn't think $7.50 was reasonable to ship the item, he was free not to bid.

I'm not an eBay store. I just sell odds and ends that I don't want or need any more. I've been on eBay since 2000, have 827 buyer reviews at 100%. I might sell a couple things a month. It's not meant to be a money maker, so I try to keep it simple.

Any advice on how to respond to this guy? I think it's pretty petty for him to refuse delivery because the label says $5.89 and I charged $7.50. It's also odd that attempted delivery of the package was May 1 but he didn't send a message to me until May 8?

Hi - I've ordered a Standard 4X Starlink that I'll be putting on a flat roof that's typical of a commercial building (plaza with business suites in it). The property management company that owns the building said I could put it up there, but I couldn't attach it to the roof in any way that would penetrate the surface. I'm looking for examples and ideas for making a homemade mounting system for the satellite, and what mount adapter I should order for it. I'm thinking some kind of 2"x4" square frame that would sit on the roof that I can weigh down with sand bags or something that I then attach braces to hold an upright pipe for a pipe mount. Probably a terrible description, but hopefully you understand what I mean, or have a better idea (and can share pictures?),

There's got to be a better way. Let's see some great examples of clean looking cable management!

I'm a salon owner (and a stylist ... bought the salon I've worked at for 20 years). I don't think this looks very professional, and I'd like to get some of my girls to manage cords a little better, but I don't want to just tell them to "figure it out". I want to get some good ideas or see some examples, and I'll be happy to buy what we need to make this mess look better. I personally use mostly cordless stuff, but for the stylists that are corded, there's a lot going on here. Clippers, trimmers, curler, flat iron, crimper, blow dryer. Any ideas would be appreciated!
