I was picking up an order today, just a simple job, didn't think too much about it. I went to the desk, and said "picking up for XXX". The lady looked at me like I was insane, so I showed her the order name and location was there. She then asked for my name for the order. I told her that it wasn't my food, I was picking up for a client.

She then leaned in, tapped her name badge and asked me for my name again. I attempted to keep my cool and simply said, "I'm picking up an order for XXX, they're the one whose name is on the food." She looked at me like I'm the most idiotic person she had ever met. And said, "do you NOT know what YOUR name is?" Before staring at me like I'm clearly so stupid, I don't know what my name is.

Still trying to be nice, I said "my name is Y, but the order would not have my name on it. It is for XXX." And she gave me look of death, checked the orders, and said she had nothing for Y before trying to send me away.

Finally, the guy working with her looked at a bag, saw the name XXX, pointed it out to her, and she gave it to me with a snarky, "you need to be more clear about who the food is for, I'm not a mind reader". I gave her the name of client GOING IN????????

And I'm still so pissed off. I was extremely tired from dealing with other people all day, and this lady was treating me like I'm so stupid, I don't know how to count to 3. And I'm also mad that she didn't apologize. The co worker had to apologize for her saying I'm the 5th person she's done that to. So, I don't know.

It's not the biggest deal, but it pissed me off some lady treated me like the stupidest person on the planet then because "don't know my name", and when she was corrected by a co worker that it's a pick up, still turned it around on me. And she's done it to 4 people before me??? I've had some bad dealings with people, but never have I had THIS happen to me.

Edit: I have contacted the management of the place about this encounter. My friends were stunned this happened.

Edit 2: I'm going to call the management today when the place opens. Just to make sure. I don't want this lady harming more people. And I personally like it and would rather not run into her while making my personal orders.
