Anyone else’s store managers obsessed with making the store look nice instead of ensuring shelves are stocked?

I’m actually being pushed to my limit with what my store is asking my grocery team to do. More and more work from other departments is falling onto us, conveniently after our merit raises. At first it was conditioning the whole store, fine sure, for 5-6 people that only takes an hour or two. Now you want us running HBC? Uh yeah okay but I’d rather do backstock. Now they have us conditioning the ENTIRE FUCKING STORE, the people hired to condition in the past were NEVER expected to go beyond aisles 1-12. I haven’t been able to touch my backstock in any sort of regimented fashion in weeks, other employees have been in charge of MY backstock and it’s really aggravating because I’m EXTREMELY particular (to a fault) about how I organize my things. So seeing my usually neat backstock carts just filled to the brim with shit I cannot touch is actually driving me crazy. I cannot believe that my store management believes Ms. Johnson is paying attention to what the fuck the shelves look like. LET ME WORK ON MY FUCKING SHIT GOD DAMN, LET ME SOMEWHAT ENJOY MY JOB SO I DON’T COME HOME PISSED THE FUCK OFF AT MIDNIGHT WHILE YOUR ASS HAS BEEN SITTING ON YOUR HAPPY ASS AT HOME FOR 6 HOURS. I’m actually so drained, rant over.

Getting down on the E. Brown

(Featuring some of the alcohol in my dwelling to provide as background) Right, so, I wanted to support my favorite 19 year old alcoholic from Didsbury so I had to purchase his signed autobiographical set and his two latest hit albums from his Bandcamp. He even threw in a nice bit of twine to hold the books together, the kind and generous lad! I must bring up that I do believe he struggled signing one of the books and seemingly forgot his name. Best regards from VA and many sausage rolls and weird old people oral sex be upon you Jim!

Roadtrip Report: 410 miles total round trip from Hampton Roads to the Lynchburg area

Past few weeks I was doing what I could to make sure my 5-speed B2300 could make it to my friend’s grandparent’s property and back, it runs strong but I get a lot of what-ifs stuck in my head.

It got the greatest gas mileage I’ve ever gotten, even going way up in elevation once I passed Richmond. Averaging almost 27 mpg. I filled up the morning we left and when we got to their house I had just over half a tank left. When I filled it up when I left, I had used 8 gallons almost exactly. Now back home I have just under 3 quarters of a tank.

She road really smooth, I’m glad I replaced the rear shocks because there would’ve been a lot more noise coming from the backend going up and down the hills and the less taken care of roads.

I intentionally avoided the interstate and I am very glad I did, very little traffic going down the very long 2 lane highways. I’m not sure where it happened, but something kicked up and perfectly dented the tip of the front quarter panel. Not really annoyed, truck definitely earned the dent. Happy I could depend on it

New rear shocks are on and I can already tell the difference. The YouTube videos did not have me thinking it’d take me 2 hours

Also reaffirmed my feelings towards cave diving, I’m not really claustrophobic but it was a tad uncomfortable, especially on the passenger side under the exhaust. In the end, even if it was 4 nuts and 2 bolts and a lot of tugging, I’m really proud I got them on and secure by myself.
