Lençóis Maranhenses National Park, Brazil🇧🇷

A unique geographical feature native to Brazil in South America.

The desert located near the coast receives annually rainfall during the monsoon season, however the presence of an impermeable bedrock below the sand dunes prevents percolation of water into the soil leading to formation of lakes in between the sand dunes giving us this breathtaking landscape.
