Have any Reddit-born ideas ever successfully become products, businesses or standalone brands?

Hello!!

I’m curious about things that originated as/in Reddit communities and eventually led to an actual product or business. That could mean a physical or digital product, app/platform, media company, marketplace, event, subscription product, etc.

I’m specifically interested in cases where the community existed first and then someone later figured out there was something they could build or sell around it — rather than companies that already existed and simply used Reddit for marketing.

I know SkincareAddiction attempted something along these lines years ago, but it apparently caused a backlash because users felt community-created knowledge was being taken off Reddit and monetized.

Any interesting examples?

Thank you!

Actual, reputable cosmetic and skin procedures in Worcester+ area?

Looking for recommendations for reputable cosmetic enhancements (non invasive) in the Worcester area (without going all the way to Boston).

Most definitely with a doctor consultation who can properly advise rather than just beauty bars.

Would love to know where you ladies (mostly) get your Botox, sculptra, dermal fillers, etc.

Face feels “long” and hoping to make it rounder - what might be the solution?

Hello, all!

I’ve sifted through the posts and haven’t quite found what
I’m looking for. FYI I have not had a consultation or input from any specialist/doctor, this sub is my first stop.

I’m mid 30s and I’ve noticed in pics that my face is longer than it used to be - idk if that’s considered typical sagging, maybe someone can clarify - but I’d like to go (back?) to a rounder face shape. I feel it’s more… oval now.

My cheeks are still moderately voluminous but I feel like it’s my lower face that got longer.

Are there treatments that AREN’T as invasive/surgical as lower-half facelifts that might help that? Sculptra or fillers, etc?

I love reading this sub so thank you!

Misinformation at Market Basket, Oxford, MA? Chobani Oat Milk?

Went to my usual Market Basket in Oxford MA and upon looking for Chobani Oat Milk (extra creamy) it appeared sold out. That’s not that unusual, but I did ask one of the workers there who told me Chobani is stopping its Oat Milk production??

I haven’t found any supporting info online - nothing about actual cessation of the product - and would honestly be shocked that they would be eliminating one of their best sellers.

Anyone heard about this or is this person just saying things?

I bought “Sonoma Pantry Italian Blend” seasoning and can’t get Italian dressing to taste right?

Hi!

I bought a bottle of Sonoma Pantry Organics Italian Blend seasoning and when I’ve tried to make homemade Italian salad dressing, it tastes bad. Inedible, maybe.

Here are the ingredients as listed on the bottle:

Organic Oregano, Organic Basil, Organic Marjoram, Organic Sage, Organic Garlic.

I’ve added salt, red wine vinegar, olive oil, lemon juice, and pepper and it still tastes… like a perfume sachet instead of proper (zesty) Italian dressing.

I’m hoping to use it for a pasta salad. Any suggestions welcome!!
