advice thoughts from someone at the end of their life

feel free to ask questions but this is my main points:

- get a good therapist
- manage your finances
- illegal endeavours (bar party drug taking) aren’t worth it
- healthy relationships are so important
- nervous system knowledge is important

my biggest regret is absolutely not standing up for myself. fawning and trying to fit the mould instead of speaking up when i didn’t think something was right. this has the been the thing that has impacted and impaled my life the most. i put myself through so so many things i didn’t agree with or were too much/overwhelming/poor fit for me. because i was frightened of saying no/a possible consequence/conflict/pride. it really destroyed my soul in the end and contributed to my health issues.

is there anything you can do if you enter treatment and come out worse?

i entered an inpatient facility voluntarily and came out with more disorders than i entered with. i’m now having to have PTSD counselling for what i experienced there, and i haven’t received treatment for the disorders i came out with. i’m having a lot of health issues due to the stress and burnout. is there anything i can do?

dying but body can’t let go

i have been actively dying for a couple of months. body is shutting down and fading to black everyday, but hyperviligance and adrenaline bolts me back again.

i can’t find anything on reddit about this happening to anyone else.

the people i did tell that i was dying couldn’t accept it and thought i was being defeatist. i have no idea what to do. it feels like i need closure and a safe space to actually ‘go’ but i can’t get that because no one around me will facilitate.

if anyone has any thoughts i’d be grateful

illness and dying

can the body just keep trying to die until it gets there? it feels as though my body is repeatedly trying to die, everything fades to black, i feel the ‘goodbye’ then it’s going into hyperviligance and bolting me back to life. it happens multiple times a day now. how long could this go on for?

I am not asking for medical advice. i’m just interested if anyone has experience with this.

one eyelid closing

hello
29f 43kg 5’5
blood work fine. ecg fine. chest xray fine.

recently one of my eyelids has been closing for 5 or so minutes at a time. i have also been fainting frequently and feel as though my oxygen levels are decreasing.

i am underweight and highly stressed by my symptoms (i have recently developed an arrhythmia which has made me panic a lot, and the fainting has been very stressful).

i have felt recently that my whole body is failing but doctors have not been very receptive to this. i went to A&E/ER and they turned me away and told me to see my GP.. and my GP has said my lesser problems (like heart) are anxiety but the eyelid and fainting issue is an A&E/ER issue.

could the eyelid closing be a neurological issue?

i’m actively dying

sorry if this is the wrong sub. i am actively dying and i don’t know what to do.

about 4 weeks ago i noticed a smell from myself. i was hit with an intuitive feeling i was dying. i just wanted to lay down and hold my mums hand. didn’t feel like eating and was falling unconscious.

i managed to get to the Dr. i have Adhd and ptsd and i get bouts of adrenaline where i can walk and talk. bloods, xray, vitals fine. my family believed i had a virus.

i am in a really bad way. my heart is stopping and then i’m jerking back upwards again like my body is realising i’m dying and then booting upwards. i no longer can eat without pain. i am in pain all over and can feel my organs shutting down. family still not believing me. i have no idea what i can do. does anyone have any ideas?

can i recover?

i’m in a bad way with my physical health- have been ill on and off for about 4 months (colds, virus, now hyperinflated lungs and asthma). my body is tired and i’ve been so stressed in the last few months about it that it’s made me even worse. i had a few weeks of little movement, no appetite and feeling like i was just about to die. i’ve now kind of gone into a survival mode and a depression, where i’ve got the adrenaline rushes and i’m able to move around and eat again (but want to cry a lot also and i feel detatched from my full/real self). i know underneath i still feel very ill. i feel like i could use this energy to my advantage and eat, but could this actually work? i’m essentially worried about using the energy to try and recover and then crashing again.

Dying with no diagnosis so no one believes me

i have been increasingly ill for a number of months. i went to the Dr who ordered scans but they’ve been very slow to come through. for the last two weeks i have felt like death is coming, a very calm intuitive feeling. i felt very tired and ready to go. last week in the night i felt like i was about to go into hibernation, then bits of my life flashed before my eyes. i realised what was happening, i panicked and a sort of hyperviligance kicked in and i woke back up. ever since i have been in a lot of pain and in survival mode, still with the peaceful death feeling at times but also stressful pain, chest rattle issues and muscle jerking in the night.

i wasn’t going to tell my family, but due to the pain i’ve been experiencing, i thought i needed to - i thought i wanted to be able to spend some quality time with them and have them understand what i’m going through. so i told them i feel this way, and none of them have believed me. they say the illness i’ve had is a virus (i have contracted a respiratory infection since the survival mode started) and that my feelings are anxiety and feelings of ‘doom’. however i just know this isn’t the case. i feel very upset that what is possibly my last few weeks is spent in conflict with them. i have been so torn whether to keep trying at the Drs to get a diagnosis so they that have some evidence & accept it or just try & enjoy my days and write some letters etc.

does anyone have any thoughts?
