Can steel milk jug be over direct heat?

So I recently got this typical milk jug for frothing milk for coffee. The storeclerk told me it was fine to heat the milk directly on my gas stovetop, but a quick googme search says these have some kind of coating inside that might be damaged? There wasn't much info thou'

What do you guys say? Will it be safe?

Shader to pixelate a game?

Hey everyone! Just found out about this software and I was searching if there's a way to pixelate a game. I guess you now what I mean but something like how ps1 games looked and many indie games now replicate. I know something as good as that cant be achieved but is the a really simple pixelation shader? I coudn't find any.

If not, maybe a good posterization that you know of, I'll also apreciate

Thank you!

Help, not being able to make double monitor work

I have the next issue:

I got an old monitor to use as a secondary monitor on my PC. I'll call "1" to the monitor I already had (right on the photo) and "2" to the monitor I got now (left on photo).

Monitor 1 is plugged into my graphics card HDMI. If I plug monitor 2 to the motherboard's ports (with adapters or by itself) then it's not even detected. But if I plug it to other ports of my graphics card what happens is that it gets recognized, and even shows image for a few seconds, but then goes black. This repeats for a few minutes and suddenly turns back with image for a few seconds and off again.

The thing is, I know this is not an issue with monitor 2, because:

. If I plug it on it's own to my PC, it works perfectly.

. If I plug it to use as a secondary monitor on a laptop I have, it also works perfectly.

So this has to be something with my graphics card or PC. What can I do?

If you need details, monitor 1 is LG M227WAP and monitor 2 is LG L1753S. Graphics card is NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti. I've used double monitors with no issue before on this PC.

Tips for installing a floating floor over ceramic tiles

So I live in an appartment and I recently got these floating floor boards for free (so I don't have any info in them). Im planning to use them on my kitchen but I'm worried about some stuff:

  1. Do I need to put something on the floor before setting the boards? Like at least some kind of plastic membrane

  2. Can the edges and small spaces on the borders and below the floor start to become a living space for cockroaches?

  3. I'm not entirely sure its waterproof boards. They do look like it, but is there a way I can check that?

I'll leave a picture of the boards [I know the edges are broken, dont worry about that, I live in the 3rd world], you can't tell on the picture but they do have like a glossy plastic-like finish that makes it look like waterproof

Update: I think you guys are focusing on unnimportant details (?. Please I'd still like to know about the questions I asked

20 yo Monitor wont give image

Hello! I got this used LG monitor (L1735S), VGA only. Seller claims he stopped using it some time ago but was working until then.

The monitor turns on fine and shows typical "holding for signal" sign.

I plugged the monitor to my pc and it didn't detect it. It just says "going into power saving mode" and thats it Tried another cable and same. Then I tried plugging it through a VGA to DVI and that made the monitor be detected by my pc. It tries to get signal and comes out of power saving mode, but then stays fully black for some seconds and starts going back and forth to power saving again.

Any ideas? Tried installing some drivers found online but no changes.

Cheap cutting board needs oil treatment?

Just got this cheap bamboo cutting board and the store clerk told me it's really to use, but this does not look realy to use. It actually looks and feel like it was just cut lmao. Should I give it a coat with some oil? Is cooking olive oil suitable for that?

Algun consejo?

El disipador es de id cooling, SE-903-SD

Hi everyone. I'm making a reddit post because I'm starting to get tired from frustration.

I've wanted to tell stories since I was a teenager, but was never able to get into it, and if I did I would only do it a little and never finish anything.

A few years ago I decided I wanted to tell my stories through comic books. I focused on learning how to draw better and was able to improve a lot, and I actually feel confortable portraying things in panels, handling the timings and such and such.

But I just cannot write, I cant guys, I just cant. I have a few stories that I want to do, I have the characters, I know the message I want to deliver, I know the aesthetics I want, I know in a broad way what I want to happen in the story and how to end them, but everytime I sit and try to script it... either:

. Nothing comes out, I become blank.

. I write the most shitty piece of dialogue, that doesnt even tell the story I want to tell

Any writing I do misses the purpose of the story completely. It's just a bunch of nothingness that protrays nothing, even know I knew beforehand what I wanted to tell.

I tried so much and got so little out of it that I'm just starting to become desperate and think that maybe I'm just not made for writing. I tried looking for classes or teachers in my area but had no luck.

I'm actually not asking for "advice", because i'll probably hear the same generic things on the internet, and those are pretty useless. So the only thing I can think of is to ask if you guys know a good writing teacher that I could talk to to at least get only classes or something.

Seriously, writting seems to be the hardest thing I've ever done in my whole life
