What do you think Lucian’s identity is?

Do you think Lucian’s identity is to dash around a lot and be slippery? Or do you think his identity is to do a lot of burst dmg and get out and rinse and repeat when his cds are back up?

Me personally I’ve played Lucian for a long time. Before CDR builds was his bread and butter.

You would generally buy IE and shiv into a last whisper and just do a bunch of dmg in a short period of time vs a adc that would have to sit back and AA to get the same type of dmg. Lucian would dish out that same dmg much quicker aka burst

Now it seems like Lucian builds to do less dmg but have more spell rotations to try and make up for it.

The problem with that is the state of the game now. You don’t want to be around fights that long because of how easy it is for these new champions to jump on top of you. So I figure why not go back to the old builds of just maximizing your dmg output with one spell rotations vs several?

IMO u could just rush IE into a phantom dancer or a navori. Probably mostly depending on if they have a lot of tanks then id lean towards more attack speed and move speed that Pd gives you.

From there id rush a lord doms and then a botrk. The passive from blade works well with ur passive as no other adc can proc it twice as quickly as he can. Then the slow can help you chase down people and secure the kill.

From there id probably get the shield bow as its a great item for a short range adc that tends to be in the heat of the fight as a way to try and survive and lastly a GA or some type of defensive item that you need for the game.

This build imo makes his power curve smooth throughout the game and has pretty decent build paths.

I like ER I love it as an item for Lucian but I really can’t shake the feeling of how bad it feels compared to other first items most ADC get. Having a IE so early in the game gives you such a good dmg spike when ur next item is gonna be a zeal and ur hitting people for 200% or however much it is crit dmg.

Thoughts?

Don’t waste your money at BCT

Pls don’t waste ur money on those dumb platoon t shirts and other gear they got. The only thing that maybe could be worth your money is the bag for your AGSU dress uniforms.

My drill Sgt warned us too, he said. Don’t waste 100-300 bucks on those silly t shirts that you will never ever wear again. You’re going to want to save your money until you get to your first duty station so you can buy yourself a car. You don’t want to be that soldier that is constantly in the barracks or needing a ride to get somewhere on base. And he was absolutely right.

I honestly don’t understand how those t shirt people are allowed on base to prey on these young soldiers money. It’s a huge scam. The items they sell are terrible quality. That backpack I got ripped and broke. They tell you it’s within r regulations and it’s not. U can not where that with your uniform. U will not be using backpacks in AIT to carry your books. U don’t even get books lol.

Pls save ur money. When you get to AIT use the DFAC!! Save ur money until your first duty station you would be so happy you did.

I have over 1k games played on Lucian

And honestly I’m probably never playing him again.

This champion is complete and utter dogshit. The stars have to align for this champion to be remotely good. His Q does laughable dmg. I honestly think leveling up his w in lane would be more and than his Q does.

So he’s not an early game champion anymore. He’s a hopefully I can survive until 3 items and my team hangs in there before I can actually kill people type of ADC. And the best part is, once u get to those items. The power spike is mediocre at best.

Riot has failed this champ design and they don’t care to admit it. No range, no dmg, passive is locked behind someone else helping you. No other champion in the game that I can think of has their dmg locked behind someone else doing something for you.

The only way to fix this champion in my opinion is something as simple as giving him more range on his Q. That alone would make it feel like u can reliably poke someone down in lane with the little 100 dmg it does. Otherwise ur just at the mercy of terrible champ design.

Every other short range adc can actually do dmg when they are in range. Samira, kaisa, fuck even sivir can probably dish out more dmg than a Lucian can early game.

It’s sad because I used to have tons of fun playing Lucian. But now it’s borderline griefing.

So goodbye Lucian. Maybe one day riot will fix u

New patch as Terran

So to start this off. I love StarCraft 2, I love how hard it is to play and it’s a challenge and next adventure every game.

I’m currently in silver and always really been there I think I hit gold once idk. But I don’t play the game thaaat much. I mostly play 1-10 games in a week.

So with that being said I’m by no means an experienced player but I’m not necessarily a beginner either. I also only ever played Terran. I tried other races but it just felt complicated and idk I just like shooting stuff with marines.

The new update is definitely something to get used to but I found success by just building 3 barracks off the start and sitting on that till I can get my upgrades for marines and just look to fight.

I see a lot of people complaining they are losing a lot or it feels unbalanced but I don’t see it that way. I do see that some races do things differently now and I feel like I had to change some habits of mine but overall it still seems pretty balanced to me. You just need to adapt and change how you go about matchups and what the opponent is doing.

And that’s what I love about this game. The constant strategy of changing things on the fly and adapting to whatever comes your way. That’s what I find to be very fun and gets me to keep coming back after a bad losing streak in league of legends. I come to sc2 and unwind and just kite with marines lol

Idk I like the patch I like new challenges

New to skarner, but I’m curious on builds

So I’m a ADC main hovering around plat 2-3

Sometimes I get sick of the struggles of solo Q adc and queue up jungle. I tried skarner out and hated him at first then gave it a few games and realized this champ has insane potential.

I tried the aftershock tank builds but I really don’t enjoy it.

I currently have had “great success 👍 “ going a sort of different build with conqueror runes using triumph, alacrity, and last stand with green tree runes for the scaling armor and Mr and the scaling HP. I also get attack speed runes ,AD runes and the scaling hp rune

My first item is always tri force into the cytoplasm harness, then the tank item that gives you hp based off the dmg you do? It’s called something despair. Then I get a spirit visage after. And usually the game is over by then.

With this build I feel like you are a dangerous duelist with some tank stats to help you survive initial burst to rune thru the ability’s and lock people down and set ur team up for success.

Why is no one considering bruiser skarner viable?

Intel mos and its “politics”

Might be just a rant

But is it normal for you to feel like you do all this work just for someone else to just get all the credit for it?

What helps you want to keep working hard if you feel you get little to no recognition for the work you put in if someone is going to come along take the intel you provided and make it seem like their own?

How to deal with Mundo as ADC?

As an adc is it better to take mortal reminder or lord doms vs a mundo?

In my elo most people are not looking to get an early Grievous wounds item against a big healer like that. But as an ADC I feel like I would be loosing a lot of dmg if I didn’t get the lord doms and be forced to get a mortal. Then the games I do get the mortal reminder. It just seems like he still heals through it all. It’s almost like it makes little difference. But I’m just stuck trying to figure out which one I should buy?

So which one do you guys think someone should buy against a mundo as an ADC?

ADC Win rates at a all time low

I personally have never seen ADC in such a weird spot since I have been playing this game.

Just a quick look on most sites and you will see a majority of ADC are sitting at barely above a 50% win rate with just maybe 2-4 sitting at maybe 51%

Smolder is an outlier he will be nerfed soon and surprisingly kogmaw has a decent win rate. The rest are basically just above 50% like Ashe, and jinx and what seems to be nilah.

I just think this is a big issue. Why are ADC performing so badly lately?

Screw Essence reaver

The only reliable build for this champion to do high consistent dmg is just to skip essence reaver. YOU DONT NEED IT.

Infinity Edge first item is all the dmg you will need to help you snowball the game.

RFC is what you are looking to build after. U know why it’s good on him. Don’t argue with me.

After RFC it’s always good to get your last whisper item 3rd. Make sure it’s a Lord Doms. Idc if they have healing on the enemy team force ur trash mid jungler top support to get anti heal. Ur job is to do dmg.

After Lord doms your going to want to beef up ur AD and survivabilty. Blood thirstier is a great option for this.

After BT u still need another crit item. And guess what? Hexoptics is what ur going to get. Don’t argue with me. Pair that with RFC and u have cait range as Lucian. Just do it.

Lastly get whatever the fuck u need for that game def wise

What is an ADC supposed to do when facing bruisers or tanks who are stacking Armor and the only option you have is a 30 or 35% armor pen item that seems like it’s simply not doing enough to fight thru the enemy teams armor?

Deaths dance and healing and shielding and thornmail, omen , frozen heart. There is just to many armor options that negate an ADC dmg.

It just seems like some games you just lose and there isn’t much you can do about it. Which feels really bad. I wish they would add the old last whisper item back where it ignored armor rather then reducing a very small amount of it which really is not doing much for you. You basically rely and hope u have a mage mid that can dish out enough magic dmg but rarely does this happen.

Just beyond frustrated with the state of ADC. Like sure we got some help this season, but then they throw it all away when ur basically forcing people to not even play adc when you can play a mage bot and have 6 items.

It’s so painful to not be able to play a champ you love because of how miserable it is to lane with him when u get a poke support which is what your going to have 80% of the time.

I get adc have to rely on their supports but this is way to much reliance. Lucian basically became an adc where if ur not a duo with ur support ur shooting urself in the leg playing him and only have access to half if not more than half of ur dmg.

His Q poke is horrible, it’s not even a poke ability anymore it’s just a minion killer. this champion is non self sustaining at all. And it feels so miserable to play him now

So I decided to be a vayne main after the new skin. Pretty fun champ. I main ADC so playing her seems pretty easy to me.

However I don’t understand the builds and runes people normally take on her!

It seems to me she would benefit move from fleet rather than pta or lethal tempo. I strongly disagree that the extra dmg is worth more than the sustain and movespeed u get with fleet. My secondary runes are the blue tree with the rune that gives you more movespeed lik 7% and gathering storm for the late game security.

Then my build usually goes as follows. BOTRK, into fiendhunter bolts, into IE then a last whisper item and from there I usually just get whatever I need for that specific game. Maybe it’s I’ll get a Phantom dancer if I need more movespeed and attack speed. Maybe I’ll get another BT if I need more lifesteal or a wits end if they have magic dmg that’s fed. Because with botrk fiend hunter ie and last whisper I already feel like the strongest champ in the game from there it’s just what I need to get.

I really never liked on hit builds as they lack actual dmg and u have to be stuck there AA 7 times vs just 4-5 with some crit.

I don’t think rage blade is necessary for vayne. She always was a crit build champ and performed very well with it

What exactly was the thought behind this change? Was it to basically give every assassin free dmg with no cooldown?

I don’t think I’ve seen such an insanely overpowered 1 item spike in a long time. And the best part is, literally anyone can buy it and perform well with it. Most notably is zed being able to do half your hp with a Q-E and he doesn’t even need to be fed for it lol.

Kayn can do this as well, it’s just not a very balanced item in my opinion right now and I’m fully expecting a nerf for this either next patch or a possible hot fix.

The same can be said for DFT and its interactions with other items. This season right now is just freelo if you know which items to abuse until riot decides it’s time to fix it
