Natural leather patent or Oiled leather? Also does it fit right or do i need to size down?

I just received this natural leather patent Birkenstock pair as a gift but i’m not sure about the durability of the natural leather patent? What are your experiences with it? Specially with the foot bed.. afraid it would peel. Also, which size fits me better?
