What is this? An anteater for ants?

Silky anteater. It’s very small for an anteater so the joke kinda works, even if it’s not quite ant-sized.

The one person on this sub that downvotes literally every comment:

Even on wholesome, unjerked comments I still get one single downvote from some sad ham. It’s fascinating!

She will keep my foot warm during cool nights

A delightful little sock

I say “she” because the insta account this is from has a ton of guinea pigs and males don’t get along in large groups

Mom got invited to a fitness meeting, turned out it was a scam selling $150 stickers and a $4k water filter

Fingie for scale. This is one of the stickers and it’s exactly how it looks- a cotton pad entombed in a plastic sticker. This company used every scummy tactic in the book to sell these stupid things and I was curious enough to look at the patent.

To summarize, the patent uses some word salad and cites seemingly related phenomena to explain how a cotton pad soaked in glycerin and copper peptides within a sticker can improve blood flow and energy and shit without putting anything into the body. In other words, it’s useless and whatever is in the cotton pad does nothing. It’s frustrating how this product preys on middle aged people with little medical knowledge to sell this at insane markups.

Oh and the owner lives in a giant mansion. Go figure.

Edit: company is called lifewave and this is the patent I believe https://patents.google.com/patent/US10716953B1

Edit 2: I am extra certain that that is the correct patent and my mom did NOT buy any. This was a free sample

Edit 3: to clarify, the “fitness meeting” was my mom being invited to the scam pitch so the scammers could sell their product in her gym.

Last edit: for those of you saying the placebo effect can be helpful, you are mistaken. For the price of these things you’re better off paying for actual, effective medical treatment instead. The placebo effect masks issues and does not fix them, possibly making their issue last longer or get worse untreated.

I found a friend in my yard

I’m in Georgia (US state). I’m not very familiar with birds but I think it’s a young great horned owl? If so I’m glad we have them around here.

Salmon 2.0

Hehe did the first pic get you?

Anyway I roughly followed the recipe. It’s alright but still a bit overcooked and fishy. At least it edible this time. And yes, the garnish is a wilted piece of romaine

Edit: after eating some more the top part is fantastic. More work must be done to perfect thy salmon

Edit 2: the first pic IS actually canned chicken. Seems that wasn’t clear enough. The second is the actual salmon I made

Spamwich

I tried making spam for the first time. I cooked 4 pieces like bacon but could only eat 2 because they were so damn salty so I put the last two on this and it was kinda good.

Improvised lego cleaner

It only works on medium sized pieces and needs to be repaired every 20 minutes but it lasted long enough to showcase it so good enough. It was for school and I had to cut some corners…
