Hiya, just starting to build my first armies and had a few questions.

- Is the general rule to always give Lasrifle sections vox and vexilla? Most lists I see have these on every squad?

- Also, most lists have the sergeant with a fancy pistol, sabre or power sword? Is that really worth it? Seems like a waste of points given how squishy they are, do people really find use in the pistols?

- What are people using their Legatine Command Sections for? Struggling to see the benefit of them other than giving me an Apex Detachment. Seems like they MIGHT be able to be counterattack melee unit, but then they're still not going to do much against most Astartes melee units?

Hiya. I bought a house six months ago. The other day I had a hand posted letter through the door from a collection agency looking for someone who used to live here. I think they were a tenant of the previous owner.

The letter threatens that they'll gain entry if necessary to recover the debt.

So, I have the agency a call just to let them know the change of ownership. Turns out that's impossible. All calls redirect to a web form that requires me to give a load of personal details AND upload to them 'proof' documents.

I was already pretty annoyed at this. I have no dealings with this company. I don't feel that I owe them any amount of work, or my personal details.

However, just seeking to get it over with, I uploaded the only document I had to hand. The TR land registry doc that proves I am the new owner. It was on my hard drive so easy enough. Done. They have now been informed.

This morning I get an email. Apparently they cannot accept this, have given me a list of other documents they 'need' for me to prove this, and advise that I have to also personally phone their enforcement agent and tell them the same.

What are my rights here? I don't have anything to do with this random company. I don't feel like I should be doing the legwork to 'prove' anything to them. I'm pretty sure that what I've done is well beyond what I'm legally required to do, and if they tried to gain entry and take my stuff ,I'd be in the right.

Is that the case??

Sorry if I'm getting this wrong, but after a load of searching this seems to be the case.

Am I right in thinking that there is no way to centrally distribute a video podcast to the big providers?

If I have an audio podcast, I can sign up to Podbean, Libsyn, a ton of others, upload there and it will appear on all major podcast platforms.

But if I have a video podcast, I can't. Both Spotify and apple need you to upload the video file directly to their platform, which does not distribute elsewhere. And even if I link Podbean/Libsyn and Spotify, I can't distribute audio via those apps, then go into Spotify and 'add' the video file.

Is that correct? Video podcasts need to be hosted on a different platform, or your podcast needs to limited to one big platform.

I have a podcast I publish through Libsyn to all providers, using Libsyn to auto-add advertising and manage all revenue (which isn't much!)

I recently upgraded to their $25/month plan so I could switch to video podcasting, and then realised that even a modest 1080p file is still twice the size of their limit - 540mb a month for both video and audio is very low. Upgrading to their $100 a month plan is unrealistic.

So what are people using? I'm tempted by just going Spotify for Creators directly, but I'm a bit worried about having to link all the other providers manually, and I don't understand how I get revenue from all the other platforms.

I'm a youtube creator and five year partner who publishes all my content to YouTube (long form, no shorts).

As a minor part of my content, I also do a little podcast-format show that I post to a second channel as video AND post as an audio-only podcast through Libsyn.

The main youtube channel brings in the majority of my income - the second channel and it's podcast feed as a bonus.

Recently I've been looking at Spotify for Creators, with the option of posting all my content - main and second channel - to Spotify too. I'm not sure about a few things, so I'm interested to hear if anyone else has tried this.

This is a sub dedicated to discussing the content of the Black Library.

That content is, primarily, the stories it releases, which most people consume as eBooks or audiobooks and some people prefer as physical books.

However, a LOT of posts nowadays are just people posting photos of physical books, showing off physical books like they're prizes, or showing off shelves of physical books.

I get that you could argue that the chunks of paper are themselves 'content' but really, the content is the words within them. Most readers do not care about owning the paperback.

I suggest that posting random photos of your 'score' without the post being a discussion of the content be banned.

The last few years I've found myself in a pretty good position, earning £150-200k a year. This looks likely to continue for a while. Just moved into a nicer house. Now wondering what I'm meant to do with the spare cash each year. I have no experience with investing, financial planning, ISAs, or anything like that.

If I wanna make this yearly windfall work best for me (i.e retire early with minimal overheads) what are the first things I should be doing?

- mid 40s. No kids and won't be having any.

- currently bringing in around 150-200k a year pre tax, all of which goes into a personal service company. I pay myself 50k salary/dividend, which is plenty. For a few years now the rest has built up to help with the house purchase/move. Now that's done.

- £250k left on mortgage

- no other loans. No fancy saving account. No ISA

- I have a SIPP pension with £30k in it.

Hiya - trying to wipe and reinstall windows.

I have an MSI prestige 14 with an upgraded Nvme drive. The Nvme works fine, boots into windows, etc. However, when I try and use a USB to reinstall, it cannot see my Nvme - the only drives that appear in the installer are the USB itself, and the mysterious 'Disk 1' with 0B of Unallocated Space.

I've tried the following:

- Entered BIOS to switch AHCI/RAID. There is no SATA Mode option in the BIOS, even with advanced settings. The Nvme drive info panel says non-RAID.
- Downloaded the MSI Intel RST drivers to the boot usb and load during the installer. These all lists as 'incompatible with this machines hardware' and if loaded anyway, do nothing.
- Opened DISKPART from installer to dry and online, clean or initialise Disk 1. None of these can be done to Disk 1.

To repeat, the disk is working fine on a normal boot. It works, runs windows, I just want to wipe and reinstall!
