Any squares in old town showing the game on a big screen?

Best for historical variety?

So I am looking to get an F1 game but I am most interested in the widest variety of cars and tracks. That particular interest is out weighing other concerns.

That in mind, which games should I be looking for?

Imagine a movie studio

Imagine a movie studio who's main goal was to throw money at various projects around the world to lift up stories from those places.

A West African team makes a series of movies about Anansi the Spider

A Greek team brings some lesser known Greek Myths to film

An Irish team does Cú Chulainn

A German team does Grimm's Fairy Tales

What stories do you want to see told with a large budget and resources. Some of these stories would naturally work well as a smaller, more intimate tale like The Return (2025) or The Witch (2015) but let's imagine the budget and production value scales all the way up to Return of the King 2005.

There would be an emphasis on historically informed design and music, practical effects augmented by cgi, accurate languages, all that good nerd stuff that history fans want.

Let's say this studio could also branch into animated or children's programming.

The music in The Prince of Egypt isn't as good as other golden age Disney songs

(inb4 "but it's DreamWorks!" Yeah, I know. I worded the title a little weird)

This is a very uninformed opinion and I would totally respect being put in my place on this.

First off: I like the Prince of Egypt. I think it's a very good story and does a wonderful job of expanding on an ancient story. It's visually beautiful and the orchestral score is great.

But my main point is lyrically and musically I just don't feel like the main songs have IT. I don't even know how to describe it but they just don't feel as complex as Disney songs of a similar era. Both lyrically and musically. They feel grand and sweeping but ultimately simple.

Anybody else feel this way and can elaborate on this point better? Or tell me why I'm wrong?

Pick my summer reading!

I have free time this summer and am already reading a nonfiction book "Faces in the Clouds:A New Theory of Religion by Stewart Guthrie."

My interests lay in history, anthropology, human origins, evolution, cultural anthropology, religion, and all that jazz so these books seem to all hit that.

I'll let this go a day or so and see what people say!

The Prophecy of St. Oran by Mathilde Blind (1881)

Hello!

Recently I recorded one of my favorite poems by an atheist writer. This is the "Prophecy of St. Oran" by Mathilde Blind. You may know this legend from the Neil Gaiman poem "The Grave of St. Oran". You may have heard of St. Oran as the "Patron Saint of Atheists" While that is not entirely accurate it definitely led to my interest in him. Anyway, enjoy the reading!

Stankovo outside Zagreb

Hello,

My wife and I will be traveling to Zagreb and other places in a few weeks. Among just general arts and architecture sight-seeing we would like to drive out to Stankovo to possibly find some gravesites of her ancestors. The plan is currently to rent a car in Zagreb and drive out to Stankovo on the 1.

Is there anything we need to know about renting a car, driving, or Stankovo itself? Thank you!
