Anybody got any advice on these? Our toddler is having really bad episodes lately. Thinks there are monsters, screaming writhing in terror. It’s legit a bit scary. I’ve seen some things in my job and stuff. But it’s so sad to watch.

He tends to respond to my mrs after about 5 minutes. He always seems more scared when I try and go to comfort him. He’s lashed out before at us. I know people say don’t disturb sleep walking or night terrors, but it gets to a stage sometimes where he could hurt himself or fall out of bed. Like where do you draw the line?

Is it temp? Is there a general period of time toddlers get this? Or is this not normal? Apologies, never experienced anything like it before. But we worry for him

So about the last ten years or so I’ve noticed newspaper boys seem to be getting older. So much older in fact they tend to actually now be pensioners by where we live.

Is this the new norm now? Appreciate papers are becoming fast a thing of the past. But since when did this entry teenage job, become an OAP function?

When I used to deliver my round it did me the world of good. Got me earning as a young teenager, taught me the importance of money and spending and working hard. But mainly taught me how to speak to the folks I was delivering to.

So our second child has started nursery this week and we’ve been invoiced a treat. So there we were, expecting our invoices to just double in cost each month. Why wouldn’t they? We have two children now, we’ve applied and accepted for the free childcare hours had given the setting the appropriate confirmation and codes two months ago.

Fast forward to today, invoice comes to a total of £1,450 for both the kids. For context they go to nursery for 3 days a week and eat there. So we usually pay between £300-£400 for our first child and have done with the subsidised hours from government for ages. Expected that to roughly double as they will go the same hours and days.

Contact the setting for them to advise us that the second child doesn’t get the free allowance until the beginning of September as it aligns to and begins the next term time from the date they start at the nursery. Somebody else has told me you get the free hours from term beginning the one after their birthday.

Is this for real? Why didn’t anybody say beforehand. And also why the hell would that be the case, why wouldn’t they just get the allowances from when they start there? Am I losing my mind or have we been duped? Or are people well aware of and notified of this beforehand and aligning their child’s start dates to term times?

I feel like such an idiot and don’t know how we are going to afford to pay almost £3,000 in nursery fees until September

Appreciate this is a real niche one, but is there any way of bringing down the cost of a day trip to London to watch a show as a family?

Either that or a weekend getaway which incorporates a show. When I was younger, our parents and that generation were seemingly forever finding ‘last minute deals’ trips and getaways. Or even booking things that far in advance it was somewhat cheaper.

I’ve been looking and train tickets alone are about £200 just to get to London and back. And I really want to take my kids to see a show they would love

Hi I am quite new to this, I am looking for a decent heavy duty bike lock. Something that would make a thief think again. I plan to only lock the bike by a busy ish area and there a fair few cctv cameras overlooking the shed.

With the impending heatwaves and very hot summer, as well as having young children who will struggle in this heat. Can anybody recommend AC units they have used and where they got them from? Looking online I’m not sure I trust the reviews on websites like curry’s etc and would like to get the opinions of real people who have tried and tested good products.

I got to thinking, and this may be obvious but generally nobody has ever told me. So I understand the difference between use by dates and best before.

But if for example you get some chicken today 4th June, with a use by date of 8th June. If you freeze it immediately, when you come to defrost it, does that mean you can cook it in four days time? Or have you got to cook it instantly after it defrosts?

I’ve only ever defrosted stuff the night before and cooked it on that day after. And wondered if I could start freezing more stuff

I’ve never played an Orc and really want to give it a spin.

I appreciate there are a lot of grey areas when it comes to The Elder Scrolls games, so I’m just wondering if it would be plausible that an Orc would fight alongside the Stormcloaks, against the empire?
I don’t really know the history (or where I can find out) between Orsinium and the empire.

I understand this is an RPG and your character could go off in any which direction. But I want my playthrough to be sort of realistic. I guess I’m asking who would want to help overthrow the empire in Skyrim, to then be treated second class. So this applies to some of the other races you can pick also
