By me IG: Greaselingo
I want to watch the movies but I watched the original series years ago and if I go straight into the movies after such a long time idt it will give me a full experience . If I have to rewatch the series I will but if there are recap films/OVAs of some sort I can watch instead I’d like to go that route .
Are there any BST discords ? I’m looking to selling some cards I don’t play anymore, where would the best place be ?
20 out of the full 40 from this shoot . Was fun .
My final thoughts will be all over the place.
>!For me the series peaked at musical chairs . Wasn’t a fan of bid poker or the last game and the ending felt abrupt to say the least .!<
>!Wasn’t a fan of how bid poker amounted to Abe, whose arc I feel never actually came full circle and in fact backtracked at some points, not surveilling Akiyama which allows him to finesse the rest of the players.!<
>!Final game was awful because none of the actions of the side characters (that have played games with both Akiyama, Nao, and Yokoya) make sense and the message of working together against the elite instead of opposing each other is for me undermined by the fact that the game isn’t stalemated due to everyone practicing that philosophy .!<
>!Would have been better imo if they had the Harimoto group still present and work with Akiyama and Nao . Could have actually got some more strategic maneuvering instead of a one sided beat down and 10 chapters primarily composed of indistinguishable LGT guys commenting on how badly Akiyama is losing . Also would push the idea of being able to trust one another/Nao’s power of conversion (which is her only redeeming quality . Without these moments she is really hard to root for because it feels like she takes 2 steps forward and 2 steps back constantly, but I get that it’s in service of the series message. This is why i wasn’t a fan of the last game .!<
>!Everyone jumps Akiyama and Nao, the majority of which have witnessed the 2 help other players pay off their debt and exit the game, but forgo helping them in favor of working with Yokoya, who they have witnessed care about no one but himself firsthand in multiple rounds . This is for no reason other than Yokoya knowing what game they’re playing .!<
>!The development of the stalemate is not facilitated by any change in the other players, but by Akiyama lying and finessing them (and the teams who were told there was a rich player and spy not communicating between each other at all for whatever reason). This kind of makes the whole work together and not play into the hands of the elite thing fall flat for me because I don’t think anyone actually learned that lesson. This is why I felt the series peaked at MC - not only was the actual strategizing quality - the ending where they work in solidarity to beat Yokoya affirms the series message . Some semblance of MC ending or the ending of bid poker where Akiyama tells bob cut that the others were able to unite only due to being able to trust Nao should have made its way into the last game. Felt like 4 kingdoms took that ideology of working together and stomped it out, just very odd.!<
>!Yokoya suddenly accepting the stalemate and challenging the LGT instead also felt out of place. I didn’t mind the video being deleted and the elite being more influential than they thought but it is just an abrupt ending considering it literally just over after that . Was this manga forced to end earlier than planned?!<

Wrong spiders ……
Sorry I had to do Yujiro like this .
Please don’t spoil past chapter 54 if you can help it .
I’m at the part of the smuggling game where the people on the northern team tell Akoya about Akiyama’s plan . The only question Akoya has left is whether or not the Southern side has really hidden their money which they plan to verify based on whether or not Akiyama asks the “defectors” to smuggle more money after the initial amount . My question is couldn’t they have just tried to withdraw as much money as possible from the Southern bank ? If I’m understanding correctly the bald guy (Hasegawa?) does withdraw the Southern team’s money but just the amount that they should have minus the amount they supposedly hid, but if he did what I’m suggesting wouldn’t that verify to Akoya that Akiyama was lying on the spot ? If I’m understanding correctly there’s no limit to what you can withdraw so just taking the amount they should have + what they could have possibly hidden should be possible, but if I’m misunderstanding please lmk .
I hate this Tokiyuki . Way too big and his garments really limit his articulation .
I started watching and am caught up but I don’t feel like waiting . Could someone please lmk where the current episode 9 (SPOILER: the downsize game, Nao just finessed everyone else and has 80 points but idt the game is over) leaves off in the manga ?
Also just curious, has the adaptation been faithful ?
