Confused

30f, new to Bangalore. I have been searching for a one bhk recently in sectors 1 & 2. Earlier, I lived in shared 3BHK apartments in gated societies in Gurgaon.
This time I decided to look for a one bhk to focus on my life, work and avoid flatmate dramas at this age.
I don't have friends (nor a bf) in the city, but my brother lives nearby, plus a few acquaintances and may get some friends in office.
At the same time, I have another option to share a space in a 3 bhk pre-set up flat in Salarpunia serenity Society in HSR only . My parents want me to stay in a gated society and since I am new to Bangalore, it will be good to have flatmates. I don't know how the experience gonna be living in a standalone building all alone in a one bhk. It may feel good for a month or so but later I have a feeling that it may get depressing given the fact that I am single and don't have friends to rely on. I don't know how secure these buildings are and how easily any stalker can chase you down to your place in these buildings. Plus I lil afraid of all that “sannatta” at night like what would you do with that pin drop night silence living alone!

Having said that I also want a very private life for myself at this age and want to meet new people in the city, make new friends and also be active on dating platforms to find myself a partner and I need total privacy, freedom and a non-judgmental vibe there.
So I am confused whether I should opt for one bhk or should take the risk of living in shared apartment with other girls!
What do you guys suggest?

Tired of searching

All kind of help is appreciated. I am looking for a good, spacious 1 bhk in Sector 1. Having a balcony is non-negotiable. Please let me know the contact of some good brokers in this sector. I have a very specific demand for the place so I want to go via a broker.
Nobroker subscription is not helping. I am tired of visiting small compact, poorly ventilated back facing small window flats! I am ready to pay the premium but the options I am seeing on 99 acres or no broker is not what I am looking for. I am okay with 2BHK as well under 35-40k

Goa weather in last week of May

I am planning to visit Goa in the last week of May. I want to check how the weather is going to be during the mornings and evenings. Will there be a cool breeze at nights? Currently, Goa seems hotter than Bangalore.

confuse between HSR and indiranagar

30F,
I’m confused between staying in Indiranagar or HSR. My office location is not a constraint, but I really want to live in an area that feels like home and has all the amenities. I’ve been suggested to consider both HSR and Indiranagar. I’m a bachelor and would like to stay in an area where I can socialise with people my age. Budget is not a constraint for me.

I have a few acquaintances in HSR but I have heard that they all go to Indiranagar on weekends to have a good time.

what do you like about HSR

I see a lot of people moving to HSR over Indiranagar and other high-rise societies. I am new to Bangalore and want to know what people like about HSR.
I have also been to some cafes in HSR that I found quite average and overhyped.

looking for 1 BHK

30F here, moving to Bangalore on June 1st and looking for a spacious, well-ventilated 1 BHK in a good sector of HSR Layout. My budget is around ₹30K.

If you come across any "To Let" boards or know of a nice property available in your area, please do let me know.

Thank you!

I have been investing since April 2022 in all categories - mutual funds, gold, silver, equities, US Stocks, ETFs etc.

In my 5 years of experience, I have lost about 3 lakhs in Indian stock equities!

Mutual fund returns are Mehhhh!

On the other side despite so many war situations my US Stock portfolio is thriving. I regret investing my money in indian market.

I am not sure whether it's with other people or if I have experienced it as well.

I am planning to sell all indian equities and move money to the US market.

Current portfolio size is around 50 lakhs but no major returns considering indian equity portfolio is in the red and it has always been in the red for me.

33F

I am planning to work from Goa for a month or two. This will be my first solo trip ever.

I am looking for a safe, durable stay option with good home-cooked meals(veg), good wifi, power backup, AC(might be required during the day) and close to beaches.

I am not much into party scenes. My main purpose is to take a break, pause, recharge, reset and heal.

Please suggest some good stay options if you know already or have experienced something similar. Also, should I consider South Goa or North Goa? I have never been to South Goa before.

I am not a mountain person, as I have never been to mountains except Shimla once. I agree mountains would be a better choice in this heat

33F, never married

I have been experiencing this feeling for over a year now. I don't feel like doing office work. No amount of rest or time off is making me feel ambitious at work. I had 20 days off at year's end and didn't feel like returning to work. I had long weekends in March and April to relax, but the feeling remained the same. I am just forcing myself to go to work. It's not that I have to go to office five days a week- I have a hybrid setup. Work quality isn't bad - it's fine. Management, culture, etc., are also fine; I can't complain there.

I don't know what’s wrong with me. I just don't want to work for a straight year, or six months, or possibly never (I don’t know). I have so many things running through my mind that I feel exhausted all the time. I feel like being a couch potato and doing nothing. I want to go on a low key vacation to someplace like south Goa, Vietnam, Bali, Japan etc and not come back for alteast 6 months

I can't resign because I know I won't find such a good job again in today's market.

I feel like I am in a burnout phase not because of work but generally because of the quality of life. What steps can I take to get back the energy?

Female here :

I’m new to HSR and looking to join a few places where I can access a gym, yoga, Pilates, occasional Zumba sessions, steam/sauna and swimming classes. I am looking for premium options which make you feel like coming back to the place.

I’m already fit but I would need a trainer since I’m not familiar with gym equipments or exercise routines. I’m aiming to build discipline and follow a structured fitness and diet plan.

Q1. What are the best options in HSR, considering my company will cover the expenses?

Q2. What would be the approximate yearly cost?
