Hi guyssss I wanted to share with y'all my favorite author regarding Sterek fanfictions on ao3. They wrote approximatively 200 works related to our beloved couple, and it's so comforting to see that the fandom is still alive.

There are fics for anyone with different tropes each time: magical stiles, lots of different AU, the hale family, supernatural worldbuilding, several ships (I love seeing background relationships sm), friendships (Jackson Stiles and Scott as a trio like yeahh, or the original trio with Erica Boyd and Derek) etc.

The lenghts are pretty different too: some fics are super long like 400k of words, others are between 80k and 130k, and there are shorter fics with 2k to 10k.

The writing is what fully convinced me, they wrote so so good, the narrative is always interesting and you can see how the plot is as important as the characters building and their relationship. Sometimes the ship is just a background thing but it doesn't matter because they wrote sterek dynamic like no one (for me though haha).

I was rewatching the first season of YOU and I realised something (because I'm not that sharp and when I started to watch the show the first time I was just a teenager).

At the end of the first season, during the finale, I loved how Beck acted when she promised to start everything from the beginning with Joe, accusing and putting the blame on Nicky. And I realised I was disappointed in her for lying to him and not accepting him for who he really was because I would have love to see this kind of development for their story — that is why I loved Love so so much.

She was (to me) the one for Joe (even though he saw his own reflection in her eyes and did not enjoy it a bit). She was the only one who fought for him, killed for him, did everything for him like he used to do for his exes.

They were equal, but he couldn’t handle all of it.

So I saw this interaction about a rarepair from a very small fandom, and I genuinely was like wtf.

The person saying "so we are just shipping anyone?" annoyed me sm bcs they kept answering people on the comments and saying how we were weird for shipping people with nonexistent romantic interaction in canon.

Like, are we forgetting how people on the internet used to ship Elsa and Jack Frost just because of their oowers (i'm one of them), or Cinderella and Sukuna (this one is funny af I love the ones who made it up).

I mean, for me shipping is literally the idea of supporting characters interactions (mostly romantic ones) based on their relationship in canon (or not).

Do people forget that rarepairs are basically a ship made between two characters who have literally no canonical interactions in their show??

And pls note that it was the comments section of a wlw edit based on a fic, the ship is neither problematic (no huge age gap, no underage, nothing illegal) nor morally wrong. This was just an edit of two girls with a good dynamic like pls.

Ig it was just a little crashout, sorry guys. But I'm genuinely worried about the fandom spaces and ao3 too.

Hi guys, I'm new in this part of the Harry Potter fandom (and I absolutely love it already). I read a lot of fics but the ones who caught my attention were these two:

They're similar since they're both set in a modern AU, there's a small age gap, Tom was the top during smut scenes and the older one too. He's obsessed with Harry and only sweet to him, oh how I love this dynamic guys. I'm open to fics taking place in canon but I never found one that really caught my attention (I'm sure I'm not searching that well, that's why I'm asking y'all).
