Looking to grow as a digi in the fashion industry

Hey everyone! I’m currently based in Paris and looking to develop my skills and become a more experienced digital tech.
I’ve assisted on a few smaller jobs as a digi, but I’d like to take the next step and gain the technical knowledge and hands-on experience needed to work on larger commercial and fashion productions.
For those working in the industry, what would you recommend as the best route to get there? Are there any professional training programs worth looking into, or is it mainly a matter of assisting experienced digitechs and learning on the job?
Would love to hear about your experiences and any advice on how to approach this!

Parfumo poems ?

What’s up with people (too many) writing poems instead of perfume reviews?

Some people genuinely seem more interested in proving you own a thesaurus than describing what a fragrance actually smells like. Every review is “the melancholy of a forgotten cathedral at sunset while my soul embraces the ghosts of cedar.” Congratulations. I still have no idea if it’s woody or smells like baby wipes.

At this point it feels like perfume reviews have become a competition to see who can sound the most pretentious. Not every bottle needs a creative writing assignment.

Tell me if it’s powdery, green, smoky, sweet, synthetic, long lasting, whatever. Give me something I can actually use.

Maybe I’m in the minority, but I’d take a straightforward, honest review over another piece of purple prose any day.

Looking for a place to service GR Digital I

Hi everyone,

Sorry if this isn't the right place to ask, but I'm wondering if anyone has experience repairing the Ricoh GR Digital series, or knows of anyone who still services these cameras.

My camera fell out of my backpack while it was inside its case. It wasn't a hard fall at all, but now the lens is stuck and won't extend. I know these cameras can be pretty delicate, so I'm hoping it's something that can still be repaired.

I've already contacted several Ricoh authorized service centers, but none of them work on these older models anymore.

If anyone has had a similar issue, knows a repair shop, or has any recommendations, I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks a lot!

*Preferably europe based*
