Some of the reviews online are bit scary. Has anybody had any good or bad experience? The deposit they ask for the 1 month rental is quite high, like 70% of the total monthly rate. Any problems getting it back? If so, I would appreciate other alternatives apart from Airbnb.

Also, it seems like if you are from outside Indonesia the payments don’t go through.

I’m staying in Jakarta for 1 month. In the past I stayed in Menteng park apartments and I liked it but I want to try a new area. Is there anything like that in terms of quality/prince in Kuningan? Also is Travelio the best place to find monthly rents? Airbnb seems too expensive. Thanks

I’ve been notified that my company won’t renew my contract which ends on July 31st. HR asked for photocopies of every page in my passport with stamps and WP to prepare documents for my end of employment. I’m suspicious about this, do they really need every stamp to issue the termination letter? I have a feeling they just want to check where I have been but I don’t want to share that information with them. To be honest I just want to share only the necessary information with them to prepare the documents and leave.

I heard I need a termination letter, can I get it without submitting all the information in my passport to them?

Also am I entitled to severance pay if my contract just expires?

In Bangkok where I have been living for the last few years that money gets you a nice condo near downtown. Are there any nice places I could rent in Jakarta for this price for 1 month? Thank you.
