3 clippings of the same (GOG?) monstera, 3 different results

Clipping 1 is first picture
Clipping 2 is second and third picture
Clipping 3 is fourth picture
All from the same plant

I had a regular monstera that produced a green on green variegated growth years ago. I’ve been chopping and propping it since.

The first clipping has been growing for a few months and produces almost white parts that tend to green as they harden. Also has a red color around the edges of the leaves.

The second clipping was given to my dad last year, growing outside with lots of light currently. Its latest leaf has an almost creamy yellow patch.

The third clipping is what they typically look like. The mother plant of all these clippings had the same color as this one.

Is this a true Green on green variegation, or aurea / albo? Or something else? Since it’s a spontaneous variegation it has a distinct linage, possible new variegation pattern?

I can include more pictures for those interested

Mint or albo? Adansonii?

Labeled as a “Swiss cheese plant”, got it for $20. Bought it because of the variegation.

Looks to be an Adansonii. Is it an albo or a mint? Or something else?

Heterochromia. Also blind in his orange eye. And the pupil doesn’t dilate on the orange eye. And he’s wobbly.

When his orange eye catches the light, his pupil is cloudy grey / green. His yellow eye is just fine.

He’s a wobbly cat too. And he was born without balls. He’s just a genetic oddity.

Looking to rehome my EBT, Philadelphia area.

He’s 10 years old, healthy and very active. His current enclosure is 6ftx18inches. Looking for a good home, not just someone to take him off my hands. Outdoor enclosure preferred.

I love him but I’m looking to downsize and want to part with him. I’ve tried a few rescues but all I’ve hit up so far say they don’t have the space for him.

My favorite wild variegated plant. Porcelain berry like this pretty common in my area (Philadelphia)

I think the porcelain berry in this area has a predisposition to albo variegation. I counted +25 specimens on a ~10 mile run through Cobbs Creek / John Heinz wildlife refuge

28m. Just had the worst ONS of my life. I’m too old for this

At this age I guess it my own fault for inviting someone 7 years younger over. The life of a Mac is for the young. We drank with my roommates and then went to my room to do the deed. She didn’t want to 69, didn’t want to get on top. Straight up told me she didn’t want to do any work. Chemistry was terrible. Maybe 30mins later she threw up then I spent the next 2 hours nursing (a very unwilling patient) back to health. Didn’t want to drink water or ginger ale, wanted to sleep on my bathroom floor. Had to carry her to bed. Good god, let this be a lesson to you youngsters. If you’re 25 or under, just make it work with who you got. The pickings get slim as you age. And the mileage on your soul catches up with you. Wish I would’ve made my last relationship work. These are the drunk ramblings of a regretful man. Currently eating tacos and playing chess.com. I finally cracked into the 800 elo again, so it’s not all bad

Is a bartending course worth it?

I’m 28 and in the trades. I make good money but absolutely hate my job. I inquired about a bartending course in my city, appears to be a week or two long. I was wondering if it’s actually worth it. I don’t want to have to start as a bar back making low pay. I’ve worked catering concerts backstage (4 years ago) and bussing tables (10 years ago). Would a bartending course certification be enough to land a job as a bartender? In Philadelphia if that helps

What was the anime you watched way too young?

For me it was Akira, I was around 9 years old, mom rented it for us to watch. She fell asleep pretty soon after it started so I was just left eyes wide open by myself for the rest of the night. I knew if I woke her up she’d turn it off as I was way too young to be seeing those things. The sexual assault scene still sticks with me to this day, really disturbed me as a child. The ending was absolutely amazing. Watching that felt like glimpsing into an entire other world of possibilities.

So what anime did you watch wayyy before it would’ve been appropriate for you to watch?

How windy is the beach going to be tomorrow?

Hi friends, visiting from r/philadelphia

My friend and I were planning a beach trip tomorrow but she’s concerned it’s going to be too windy to have a good beach day tomorrow (May 19th). I checked and it looks like 10-20mph winds, with gusts up to 30mph. From what I can tell that’s not too bad, but I’m no meteorologist. Looks like it was just about that windy today (May 18th). So I’m wondering if anyone can tell me if it was super windy on the beach today / if it will be super windy tomorrow.

Thanks in advance!

TLDR: is 10-20mph winds with gusts up to 30mph going to ruin our beach day trip?

PSA: Hygger 75 gallon planted tank LED light bar

I recently bought a Hygger planted tank light for my 75 gallon tank and no one told me that unless it’s at 100% brightness, it will emit a high pitched tone. Sounds like one of those annoying app tones that were popular when I was in school. Extremely high pitched.

Leave it on 100% so it’s not a problem, right? Well the problem with that is that the Hygger LED light bar has a built in “sunrise” function that starts from 10% and slowly rises to 100%. So, every morning I was greeted by that annoying high pitched tone regardless. I would have to manually increase the brightness each morning to save my sanity.

Luckily, I moved and downgraded my tank not long after getting the 75 gallon Hygger lightbar. Despite my bad experience with the 75 gallon light bar, I bought another Hygger led lightbar for my 29 gallon tank. Luckily the 29 gallon planted tank light bar doesn’t have the same problem. I’m actually overall satisfied with the 29 gallon light bar.

TLDR: 75 gallon Hygger planted tank LED lightbar bar makes an annoying high pitched tone, extremely bothersome. 29 gallon Hygger planted tank LED light bar does not have the same problem. Avoid the hygger’s 75 gallon light bar if you wish to protect your sanity.

Adult swim specials worth watching?

My roommate and I just watched the adult swim special broadcast 2022 on YouTube. We were expecting some kind of payoff after an hour and a half of little teasers cut into the shows that were part of the special. We were disappointed to say the least.

We started the 2023 special and realized it was probably going to be the same thing but with early ai instead of Pibby.

Is there any specials worth watching or are they all just like that?
