reason for passkey or totp is because it's generally the most safest and secure. passkey info cant be grabbed from the usb key, or from the password manager. totp isn't saved where the browser cookies are saved so cookie grabbing exploits cant grab those.

reason i dont like email code verification is because if you log into your email via email app or web browser, the cookie grabbing exploit can grab your cookies and then they just use that to log in as if they were on your computer. it's much harder to steal a time based rotating code or a passkey.

anyways, it'd be nice if DJ companies could focus on cybersecurity a little more.

• ability to set global filters that are always on.
• secondary / temp filters when using the search bar. (assuming a global permanent filter becomes an option)
• filter shows and films (even on a per account basis) to filter out things, or categories.
• maybe have an option to exclude certain things. it'd be great if i could share jellyseer with other people but most of the search results are softcore porn lol. honestly i dont want that anyways.
• would also be cool if we could filter out behind the scenes / extras
• if you were able to get the shows ratings and reasons for the rating, maybe there could just be a little check to filter out porn. i'm not against porn i just dont want it on something like this lol.

some things, as for the hypothetical global filter:

• would like it to be when you create a filter, you can apply it to other users
• would be cool if you can have a default filter that automatically applies to everyone, or to a new user.
• if you apply multiple filters to someone have ability to combine the filters via and / nand / or / nor or a combination
• for the various options within the global filter, ability to choose Forced, or Default but changeable on the options.
• and last but not least, an option to show that the filters are applied, or to hide it altogether.

other easy anti-cheat games work, like elden ring. so it doesn't seem to be anything like that. i tried rebooting it. it does the splash screen and then nothing.

like, you know how you paint a district, i wish you could paint a park. and then when you decorate it, it gives you points based on the type of park you tell the citizens it is, and if there's an admission fee or not. we love making custom parks but they dont.... have an affect on sims unless there's a way they can use those pathways on a commute.

• also i feel like it would make sense to make the 1 lane width sidewalks a 2 way street where the cars take turns and pass each other gently by moving to the side of the side walk if there's utility/ems/police or whatever trying to go opposite directions.
• would also be cool if pre-made parks could snap to the landscaping pathways.
• i feel like maybe having an option for an automatic fence around the drawn park area (and if it crosses roads it asks what to do for them, where you pick between nothing, free gate, cattle guard, automatic gate, paid gate, or fence [which would block off the road permanently but hey why not])
• why? because if you have a big area labeled as a park and the sims know it's a park then they might want to walk around it for funzies.

some types of parks that could start with:

• city park
• city park (with entertainment like concerts and stuff)
• hiking trail
• campgrounds (good excuse to have a plopable camp site where you plop them all over the trail using a dirt road or an allyway or something and then periodically see tents or RVs depending on the camp site type)
• beach
• lakeside thingy
• boating park
• recreational pier
• city plaza
• state/national forest (wildlife/flora preserved or not preserved- which could mean if any foresting overlaps, the park takes priority over the foresting)
• hunting lease
• riverside trail (fishing allowed or not allowed)
• historic museum

i'm sure there's a ton of other types of parks, like fairgrounds (one big event per year), sports (seasonal), zoos and amusement parks, but i feel like that would be a battle for later.

drag and drop within the program (or clicking and dragging) only works when those programs are ran in admin mode. however, i cannot drag and drop from explorer or splice into those programs.

so if i run it as user and not admin, then i can drag and drop into the program, but i cant click and drag while within the program. i feel like this is a windows "feature" (bug) and that i'm stuck with it until/unless they decide to fix it.

PS:
trust me i would love to switch to linux but i am not in a position to do that yet. i would greatly prefer it if more music companies started supporting linux, especially the big ones like ableton, steinberg, east west, splice, pro tools etc.

is there any way to transfer my cues, custom metadata tags (sorting) and other stuff from one computer to another in regards to beatport files? i tried copying the beatport folder in appdata but it doesn't do anything. i tried copying the collections.nml and it also only transfered my non-drm song's cues and custom tags, but not the beatport songs. it's gonna be such a pain in the ass to have to recue and re-tag all those songs again, every time i need to switch to my spare if my main laptop isn't working. :(

i wish that when you set cues and custom tags for songs, that beatport grabbed that info from taktor (or serato, or whatever you're using) and then saved it to your account, so that when you opened up your songs on a different computer, all those tags and cues and stuff we're immediately available. right now you cant even save the cues/tags to a file that you can copy from one to another. so all that work, out the window. it kinda kills the point of having a cloud based streamer.

i do have a decent collection of drm-free songs, but beatport (and things like it) do serve a decent roll in DJing
