Pair of Brugmansia for Sale

(I hope this is okay, I don’t have a store per the rules. I just have these two plants that I sadly can no longer keep and am not sure where to list them)

Selling two beautiful, mature Brugmansia (Angel’s Trumpet) trees standing roughly 6 to 7 feet tall.

Both plants are over 5 years old and feature thick, woody trunks and robust, established root systems—these are multi-season specimens, not fresh cuttings!

These make an incredible, dramatic statement piece for a summer patio or sunroom. They feature massive, highly fragrant bell-shaped flowers, color is currently a mystery. They are both getting ready to bloom!

Height: 6–7 feet tall
Condition: Mature, woody trunks, healthy foliage. These have both been pruned into bonsai forms with the intent of maximizing the flower canopy.
Care Note: Must be kept in containers and brought indoors/into a heated garage for a Colorado winter. Very easy to overwinter!
Price: $600 for the pair.
Location: Local pickup in Parker, CO (80134). Please bring a vehicle large enough to gently transport a 7-foot tree! Cash or Venmo accepted.

Edit: Yikes, feedback received. I inherited these and was told this was the value and when I looked up via nurseries it seemed supported. And they are both extremely healthy, no bugs. They are not leggy, they’re intentionally pruned into these unique forms. These have 2” thick, woody trunks which takes years, not one year.

I am absolutely open to offers.

Job Interview “Assignments”

So this is apparently a new trend over the last few years. If an interview requires me to complete a project at a stage, I turn down the interview.

I finally gave in for one role that was just what I was looking for, but I refused to put anything in writing. That met the requirements, I could do whatever I needed to present, be it verbally, PowerPoint, etc. I verbally handled the walkthrough just as I would normally lead a meeting. I presented ideas and concerns that the interviewer stated they had never thought about and they wrote my ideas down. Then I was told the other person “crushed” the interview because they used props.

That infuriated me and just made me double down on the ignoring companies with this requirement. Which of course has continued to screw me over.

Now, I crushed an initial interview and have been told two more rounds, the last being another damn presentation. I don’t know what to do.

How have folks been handling this? How do you showcase your talent and ability while protecting your data? To a point, I understand companies wanting to vet people better because there is so much competition. But it’s also giving them ability to cherry pick and gather feedback, for free.

So, any advice is appreciated.

Parker, CO 80134 Home

I didn’t see anything in the rules against listing a home for sale here? Is that correct?

We’re looking to sell and move due to job relocation and really don’t want to go through listing like normal.

We’d much rather strike a deal with a family looking to move to Parker and would be happy to list under value.

If this is allowed let me know and I’ll list the details.

Welcome to The Local Root - your tool to unlock your yard

Parker neighbors—I built something for us, and it’s live tonight. 🌱

It’s called The Local Root, a free yard-care tool designed specifically around Colorado growing conditions.

If you’re dealing with brown grass, sprinkler problems, difficult soil, struggling plants, xeriscaping questions, or another yard issue, describe what’s happening and receive a practical action plan supported by trusted Colorado resources—all in one place.

Try it here: https://the-local-root-tool.lovable.app

I started building The Local Root after repeatedly running into the same problem: general gardening advice rarely accounts for our altitude, clay soil, intense sun, limited water, and unpredictable weather. I found myself overwhelmed by the contradictory suggestions provided by people, and spending way too much time digging around for actual creditable sources.

This is an early public release, and it will keep improving as people use it. If you have a real yard problem, I’d love for you to try one diagnosis.
My only request: if anything seems confusing, inaccurate, broken, or missing, please use the feedback option and tell me what happened. Even one sentence will help.

The tools currently available are:
🌱 Diagnose
💬 Ask
🏡 My Yard
📚 Educational Library

Design, Community and the local-provider Marketplace are also visible as previews and are coming soon.

I hope The Local Root becomes a genuinely useful resource for our community—and tonight is its first step into the real world.

Xcel Ad - Take note of the Language Used

Just came across this ad for Xcel energy regarding Data Centers and the costs to run.

From a legal perspective…gotta love how they use the word “should” so many times. 😆

Yes we need to absolutely be concerned about the energy usage affecting our bills. The hell.
