This election is about affordability, but I think Kristi Burke should also hammer "No data centers in NE TN" every day for the next four months

This will force Diana Harshbarger to either explicitly commit to the same position, and in doing so acknowledge that there actually is an election this year and that she has an opponent, or better yet, force her to admit she wants data centers here against our will, or option three, she can continue to ignore us, which will arouse suspicions among voters who don't want to live next door to a data center. I think Burke can gain some votes on this single issue. She is also running a better campaign than previous candidates while Harshbarger remains too terrified to host townhalls in a deeply red district after years of ignoring our affordability issues.

JC staff speak to residents on data center regulation

>Many questions about proposed city regulations for data centers remain unanswered following a community meeting Tuesday at the Langston Center, during which Johnson City staff attempted to dispel residents’ concerns...

>A proposed 200-foot minimum separation between residential properties was at the center of most questions and concerns raised during the Johnson City Coalition Against Bitcoin Mining meeting. Many residents feel the proposed distance is not enough to mitigate potentially harmful effects of data centers, and while Hodges said she and her team have the data to back up their decisions, other community members voiced frustration with the data not being released sooner.

Rep Diana Harshbarger is one of 32 in the House to vote against the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act

The law now goes to Trump's desk. CNBC calls it "an affordable housing bill aimed at lowering costs for homebuyers and reining in institutional investors" and says it "would remove some red tape to enable more housing to be built and cap the number of single-family homes institutional investors can buy at 350."

Nashville zoo's data center pushback captures broad political support

Marsha Blackburn still wants to build the data centers next to humans though. "There are so many communities across the state who want data centers... there are so many counties that want these, communities that want these...”

No to data centers next to my neighborhood or anyone else's. No to candidates who will build data centers against our will.
