This sub has encouraged me to start

LO is almost 2.5 years old. I initially tried when he just turned two, but I felt like an utter failure. It was a complete mess. I’ve since decided to just introduce him to the potty as a concept and let him be curious about it. Here and there I put him on the potty when he requests and we’d get a bit of pee, which would be exciting.

Finally bit the bullet after the sub was recommended to me and I saw how many people are encouraging naked time. Naked time as a concept is horrifying, but seeing as how many people suggested and recommend it and seeing how my little one seems to think that underwear are diapers, I figured to give it a go.

Today is day one we’ve had a few accidents, but we’ve also had a few pees and one poop!!! I’m really excited about the poop part because that means I don’t have to clean one off the floor 😂

TLDR: thanks to everyone in this sub encouraging potty training especially around this age. I do think him exploring and being curious about the potty before we started helped a lot at least with recognizing what the potty represents.

Please help: adding outerstroke to clips is copying and pasting clip on top of original

I've tried everything. I've tried adding an outerstroke to a new clip and it still pastes one of the older clips on top. I have no idea what to do. Removing the outerstroke effect restores the original clip. Davinci is up to date.

Pain in thumb ligament weight lifting

Hey all,

Would love some advice on this issue. The pain happens in the UCL region any time I try holding a weight and I’m starting off at just 10 pounds for each dumbbell.

The only way I’ve been able to workout is using monkey grip but it’s not safe.

I’ve given it 2 years to heal (didn’t lift any weights due to an unrelated issue ) and I still can’t hold the weights.

Any input is greatly appreciated. Maybe my holding is off. And if you do the monkey grip technique, can I realistically keep it up as I increase the weights?

Thanks

Hilarious Gale and Astarion banter over romancing tav

Not sure if this happens regularly but I was romancing gale before deciding to go with Astarion and when I had both in my part the dialogue went as follows:

Astarion: so Gale how's your fruitless pining going after being cast aside.

Gale: it's been over a year since Mystra left me.

Astarion: I wasn't talking about Mystra.

Man, act 1 did not skimp out on the interactive dialogue

I missed sooo much in act 1

And I metagame game (without spoilers). If anyone has just gotten the game and are questioning the replayability value of the game, do not question it. I promise you, you missed stuff and if you play durge, you’re exposed to an entirely new subplot of the game.

Things I’ve missed in previous run:

- barn people having sex
- necromancy book (putting the orb in it)
- the freaking Zhentarim hideout
- getting the hags hair
- Minthara (knocked her out)
- actually finding and saving Halsin
- Kahga’s shadow Druid alliance (locked out of it after tiefling party unfortunately)
- Omeluum

And I don’t even think I’ve listed everything. I don’t even know what triggered the Omeluum reveal this time. It must be a dialogue option I picked.

Anyway, I regret absolutely nothing, I’m so glad I missed these things (and probably much more) in the beginning because discovering them is like a treat.

So yes, start your second durge run if you haven’t already.

I love how non sentimental his death was

Avoided the name in title for spoiler reasons. But >!Arthur’s death scene!< was underwhelming with no special speech. It’s the epitome of show don’t tell. His one sentence “I gave you all I had. I did” is worth a million sappy speeches.

He faced his inevitable end and the only thing he regretted was blindly following that narc, Dutch. He knew he could either continue to live a lie or face a more painful death than he would have if he’d just succumbed to his disease.

His ending was more remarkable that way and it’s the reason why his death was so impactful.

I gotta admit the pacing was a bit slow in parts of the game but the writing of the main quest was well done by rockstar. I think Micah was the only one-dimensional character out of the entire gang (the story-heavy members I mean) but everyone else was very layered and complex.

TLDR: I miss Arthur

I fell for the rizz

Listen, I knew there were romances with an octopus in the game from minor spoilers I’ve seen online but I didn’t know the full picture.

When I saw him shirtless I knew my time has come 😭 I … couldn’t resist the rizz.

I’m gonna take a long shower and think about how exactly i got to this point in my life.

I see Astarion's appeal: Paladins of Tyr

I got one shotted by the paladins of tyr because of the sword guy. I was going to say screw it, I'll pickpocket the sorcerer, take all her gold and never go back there, but i kept failing the checks. So then I'm like, let me try again but this time, I'll sneak attack the guy using Astarion and try to take him down before his turn arrives. And it worked! I used every advantage and bonus action I can get until I got him down before he one shotted anyone.

I gotta say, I love playing dirty. There are no rules, just making it work. Astarion's advantage is massive whenever I'm able to successfully hide. I'm still getting used to his mechanics though, they've been the hardest but they're so rewarding.

Is it normal to be really obsessed in the beginning?

Just got this game yesterday after about a month of pondering and research (without spoilers ofc). I finally got the game yesterday and it's all I can think about. I have to restrict myself to certain timeslots in my day to play this game and bargain with myself to complete certain tasks first before picking up my controller.

I failed an encounter yesterday (I was underpowered) and all I can think about today is how I am going to leave that encounter and what awaits me beyond it.

I knew this game was good, I just didn't know I'd be dreaming about it

Edit: FWIW I put on the bg3 soundtack to focus on my work. Dare I say, it's been working wonderfully.

Is Act 3 still having issues on PS5? (looking to buy on ps5)

I've been wanting to buy bg3 for the longest time now and PSN finally has a sale, so I can't back down now. Looking into it though, there are so many complaints about performance on the PS5 during ACT 3. I read about disabling performance mode and how that can mitigate the issues. With all the current patches, is this still an issue?

Marshmallow root for IC?

I’ve just bought some herbs from Maus mountain and I read marshmallow root is a demulcent that’s good for IC. I have also got some aloe Vera juice because I tested it and it seemed to help but I needed more than just a bottle to confirm.

Anyone have any luck?
