I see Astarion's appeal: Paladins of Tyr

I got one shotted by the paladins of tyr because of the sword guy. I was going to say screw it, I'll pickpocket the sorcerer, take all her gold and never go back there, but i kept failing the checks. So then I'm like, let me try again but this time, I'll sneak attack the guy using Astarion and try to take him down before his turn arrives. And it worked! I used every advantage and bonus action I can get until I got him down before he one shotted anyone.

I gotta say, I love playing dirty. There are no rules, just making it work. Astarion's advantage is massive whenever I'm able to successfully hide. I'm still getting used to his mechanics though, they've been the hardest but they're so rewarding.

Is it normal to be really obsessed in the beginning?

Just got this game yesterday after about a month of pondering and research (without spoilers ofc). I finally got the game yesterday and it's all I can think about. I have to restrict myself to certain timeslots in my day to play this game and bargain with myself to complete certain tasks first before picking up my controller.

I failed an encounter yesterday (I was underpowered) and all I can think about today is how I am going to leave that encounter and what awaits me beyond it.

I knew this game was good, I just didn't know I'd be dreaming about it

Edit: FWIW I put on the bg3 soundtack to focus on my work. Dare I say, it's been working wonderfully.

Is Act 3 still having issues on PS5? (looking to buy on ps5)

I've been wanting to buy bg3 for the longest time now and PSN finally has a sale, so I can't back down now. Looking into it though, there are so many complaints about performance on the PS5 during ACT 3. I read about disabling performance mode and how that can mitigate the issues. With all the current patches, is this still an issue?

Marshmallow root for IC?

I’ve just bought some herbs from Maus mountain and I read marshmallow root is a demulcent that’s good for IC. I have also got some aloe Vera juice because I tested it and it seemed to help but I needed more than just a bottle to confirm.

Anyone have any luck?
