I live in Potchefstroom, South Africa. I usually do my grocery shopping in Friday evenings. I’ve a checkers right next to my apartment complex. On my way home, stopped to pickup up produce. I was bagging some tomatoes. The display price said R26,99 for a kilogram. There was elderly lady who was bagging tomatoes too. When we went to weighing machine, the machine showed R29,99 for a kilogram. I usually let it go, but the elderly lady didn’t. She went and brought the price tag to show it to the person who was helping us with weighing the tomatoes. I was about to let it go. The lady held my hand and asked the person to give us the right price. He went and got his manager. The manager explained that the price was not updated on the shelves, but weighing machines were updated. Lady didn’t have any of it. She asked for an apology and made them give us tomatoes for free. I’ve never been more embarrassed for not standing up for myself!

I need suggestions. I have an ADV 390 (2023) model. I want to add another horse to the stable. Not immediately, but eventually (say 6-12 months). Any new bikes that I should be waiting for? You would have guessed my requirements, an adventure bike is what I prefer. I am 6 feet and weigh ~85 kgs. I can go upto 6L. I want something dependable, something I can manage in the city (I ride during non-office hours) and something that can fly on the highway (ADV does the job REALLY well). During my recent work trip to South Africa, I had the chance to drive the KTM 1290 Super Adventure R. I will be an understatement to say that I loved it. I know, it isn't practical to buy it for Indian roads, but ya.

Hi guys, I recently moved from India to Jo'berg for a job. I have to stay here for three years, with a possibility of going home every six months. I arrived yesterday and have been crying my eyes out. I miss my home, I miss my wife, my brother, my parents. I miss the routine of life I had. How do I fight this? I went to buy milk from a bakery today. Usually get my groceries from Smart Bazaar or dmart. I took an ordinary Nandini milk packet (the blue one), pay the amount written on the packet (Rs 24) via Google Pay. I turn to leave the shop. He calls me and says it is Rs 25. I show him the packet. He says it is still 25. I asked whether he knows what MRP stands for? He says he doesn't care. I tell him that something called consumer court exists and I don't mind taking him for a ride. There were 10 other people who had milk packets in their hand

I was riding my bike from Kadubeesanahalli to Kundalahalli yesterday. Made a mistake of riding in my flip-flops. Was on the Marathahalli bridge for at least half an hour. At some point, the green light came on. While moving forward, my right flip flop came off. I may have gone some 10 meters before I understood the missing case of flip-flop. I came to a stop. I see someone in his late 60s walking towards me, flip-flop in hand. He says, "neevu idi maretiddiri ends nanu yosiside". I thank him. I drop him to his house and go back home.
