I have been taking 45mg Mirtazapine for 4 months; after an ADHD diagnosis I am looking into medication.
I am just wondering what may happen in my situation where I am on the max dose of a noradrenergic and dopaminergic medication and the potential implication of ADHD stimulant medication being added? Any experiences of this with regards to retaining the high dose or having to lower the dose??

I have been informed that I have been placed on the titration waiting list for HH Minds! YAY
On the ADHD UK website it states that this wait is between 2-4 weeks although HH Minds informed me this may be more like 6-8 weeks?
I am just wondering what other people’s experiences are?

I am just attempting to relay my experiences to see if anyone else can relate or offer some understanding!
After entering a period of depression and a heightening of my anxiety in Spring 2025 I began antidepressant treatment; the jist of my medication experience was that I constantly experienced sexual dysfunction which was incredibly distressing. All the while I was working myself to the bone with my university coursework + the new anxiety of a new relationship I had entered.
Just before I was meant to return to university I had felt incredibly burned out; I had experienced this before but this time it seemed much more severe and has seemed to stick. It was as if one day my brain ‘died’; cognitive decline after being top of my year at uni, frightening derealisation, intense fatigue, emotional numbness.
Now nearly 8 months on I am still in this burnt out state!
However, after beginning a previously effective antidepressant again I am making excellent progress!
Recently I acquired an ADHD diagnosis which seems to explain my life long hyperactivity, anxiety, feelings of being ‘out-of-place’.
All in all it seems the period between Spring 2025 and October 2025 was typified by my intense hyperfocus on university study all the while being obsessed with finding medications that would help my mental health.
Thus, now I have obtained an ADHD diagnosis and I am looking into titration, I am wondering if anyone else can relate and whether anyone can offer guidance on how these medications may support my recovery?
