My new to me M8 with only 471 exposures. Leica says they serviced it in 2017 but who know what they did. I can’t wait to put this wonderful camera to some use!
There is an SLR / Prismat for sale on EBay that appears to have the very rare M42 adapter on it. If this is what I think it is, it is very rare. It is in Germany and I didn’t want to pay for shipping. Besides, I already have 3 SLRs I don’t use already.
The camera looks tired but you’d be buying it for the adapter.
Found this unopened box of slides labeled "1967 Hula dancers Stage Performance" at an antique mall in Orlando
I bought this on EBay for $300.00 several months ago knowing it was broken and was in need of repair. After my local shop and Nippon in NYC refused to repair I finally reached out to Bellamy Hunt / Japan Camera Hunter. I thought that maybe sending it back to Japan was the best way to get it fixed.
He facilitated the repair for me and I couldn’t be happier. It came back to me basically in like new condition. New shutter, new top cover, new bottom plate, spotless rangefinder and a host of other maintenance items. The counter on the bottom was also reset to 0.
Between shipping to Nippon and back, shipping to Japan, repairs, tariffs etc I’m probably all in $1100.00 into this camera and I think I it was well worth it for basically a brand new GSW690III.
$10.00 total for these instruments of photographic nostalgia. I loaded up the 105i with a roll of Fuji 200 and promptly took it to the most appropriate place to take it, a Pizza Hut.
I don think the 105i is long for this world. The lens sounds like nails on a chalkboard but is working for now. The AF-S V appears to be working so I’m putting a roll of Arista through it.
Don’t hate on me, I do what I want.
I grabbed this Rebel G II with a kit lens for like $30.00 with fresh batteries. I had an R to EOS adapter that someone gave me with this Elmarit 28 so why the hell not. It worked great! Such a nice light alternative to my R8.
Just in case you had an Argus SLR and you wanted a cold shoe, the Nikkormat shoe fits perfectly!
