how do i inset all of the faces

when i do inset it only insets the outer edge not all of them as a whole (i tried applying scale)

Am i cooked guys ?

Ok so i was trying to make it so the .local folder was not hidden because when browsing my files in an other file browser i couldn't set it to make hidden files appear so i looked it up and truns out you can make folders visible is by removing the dot at the start and without a second thought i renamed .local to local now i bet you're already cringing at my stupidity for renaming a system file but let me tell you what happened next a new .local appeared instantly but it was too late it would not let me rename my local file to replace the new one so i restarted the deck and it made me set up the deck again and sign in again and thanks to the blender file browser i was able to confirm that my old local folder is still there you might say "no big deal just rest your deck and you're good to go" but the issue is that i still havd some blender files that i want to keep and i would like to know if could replace the new .local with my old local file
