Envious of dual incomes

This post is most likely going to be a vent, so bear with me.

As a single mom, I get frustrated when I see these very high HHIs complain about just getting by. I currently work 2 jobs and the most I've ever made is 115k including minimal child support. If a HHI of 300k is struggling to make ends meet, what does that leave for those of us single people? Or am I missing something?

How do you make it work with just one working income? Even with two and a small amount of child support, I know I will not be able to give my son the same experiences as his father who has a wife and make 300k+ together

Is it unreasonable?

To expect the parent who moved (20 minutes one way) to meet halfway? Ex and I have been arguing. Our court order was written when he lived a few minutes away. Who ever has the parenting time end makes the transportation. He is arguing that I need to be the one to drop to our son off at his place after my parenting time (which, as court orders are written, is true). But when I agreed to the court order, he only lived a few minutes away. But now it is 35-40 minutes roundtrip, and I don't think that it is fair to expect me to do all of that, plus I don't feel comfortable going over to his place. I proposed to meet at a halfway point, but he is declining and says he won't be there to be our son up.

I'm just so frustrated. What is to stop him from moving an hour or more away and then I have to do even more driving? I think because he moved, he should be opened to meeting at a halfway point but he refuses

I don't want to meet his wife

We have been separated for almost two years, he recently got married last month. I have no desire to interact with this woman. Yet he decides to bring her to my house. I know I can't stop him from doing this, but my home is my place of peace, and this is a coparent who is highly litigious.

We have a nonverbal 3 year old special needs kid together. Am I wrong for not wanting to meet his wife?

Coparent demanding access to account

We have a toddler who qualifies for a special account for those with special needs (in my child's name). Legally, only one person can be the ALR, and my son can only have one of these special accounts. His dad and I share custody. He is demanding he get access to the account so he can "utilize it" and is taking me back to court over it. I don't feel comfortable having any joint account with him, and I suspect he will drain the account to get "his money" (CS) back or use it to circumvent giving me CS in the first place.

Do you guys share joint accounts in respect to the kids you share with your coparent? Should I be concerned that the court is going to make me give this asshole access? I have been contributing money to this account for several months and he has not once offered to contribute any money to it.

PRN Correctional Medicine Rate

I currently work in UC making 66/hr. I want to pick up something that fits with my son's schedule and was told the Correctional medicine would be a good start as they are flexible. I live in the Midwest. What would be a good rate the ask PRN? I have almost 4 years of NP experience.

No more daycare (celebrating the "daycare raise")

So for the past year, after my ex and I finalized our court orders, I have been paying 600-700/month in daycare. Son just got into full-time ABA (he has Autism) and I just made the last daycare payment! Fortunately, insurance covers his ABA once we hit deductible (and we have always hit deductible due to multiple illnesses, ear infections, surgeries, etc).

I don't know what the point of this is, but kind of wanted to celebrate and ask everyone what did you all do with your daycare "raise"?

Is it wrong?

Is it wrong to want to do separate conferences, orientations? I am in not great coparenting situation with BD and want to parallel parent as much as possible.

Can my child support increase if our child transitions from daycare to ABA (which is covered under his insurance?). We are splitting daycare 60/40 (me paying 40%) and I get almost 500/month. Our daycare costs will go to zero in a month. Can my child support be recalculated? It took daycare expenses into account in the original order (which was last year).
