[Request] Who’s heart beats more in their lifetime, assuming they live to the same age. An elite runner or a sedentary, overweight person?

Elite runners can average 170 bpm for 50+ miles a week for decades, but an overweight person’s resting HR might be 90. 🤷‍♂️

Ski reccs for the upcoming season.

Just bought my first pair of boots and now it’s either rent for another season or grab a pair of used skis online. Context I’m 6’2 (male) 190 intermediate (all blues, occasional black) skier, but looking to progress. Mostly groomers and speed (well, as fast as my 50 yr old body will let me) also my rentals last year were Vokl Deacons 76 , 168. TIA

Hit a milestone, 200k!

Just got back from our annual camping trip, towing a pop up camper over 1,200 miles, from NJ to Acadia, ME. She hit the 200k mark about 20 miles into our trip home. This truck has been fantastic. I bought it used in 2017, a 2012 4x4, long bed crew cab, with 112k on it. Zero issues in my ownership except front wheel bearings, which is just wear and tear. The cel is for a cat code, that’s been on for about 3 years. Funny enough it went away today so I’m gonna try to sneak an inspection in before it inevitably comes back 😊.

Cant figure out the best way to wire our built in bookshelf.

We built one of those ikea "hack" built ins, looks good so far. Put in some led strips, which just go into an outlet via usb. We also have 3 led reading lamps mounted, which must be hardwired and grounded. This is where I'm hitting a wall. Ideally I'd install a dimmer switch for those lights (see red circle in pic), and also a separate non-dimming switch connected to the outlet with the usbs. but I have no idea how to get the power to the lights. Do I run it off the outlet? And if so, whats my (drywall) penetration look like to get to the lamps? Id also like to be able to get behind the bookshelf if ever need be (its just up against the wall, so not truly built in), so Id probably need some slack in the wiring of the lamps. Hope that makes sense and thanks!

Oh, also, I was originally just going to wire the lamps into a 3 prong cord then plug it in and use a remote switch. but id prefer a dimmer and Ive never installed a switch before (only outlets) and wouldnt mind the experience.

I’m trying to wire 3 metal light fixtures (not double insulated) into a single corded plug. How do I handle the ground wire?

Hey all, I’m installing 3, 10w led fixtures on a bookshelf, but want to be able to plug them in, not hardwire them in. It comes with a bare ground wire and also a backing plate with a green ground nut. Do I need a 3 prong cord? Or is there another way to ground this? Thanks for your input!
