Why is negative y axis highlighted in graph of this function

f(x) = {1/x , x < 0 and x, x >= 0}

I don't understand why desmos is highlighting negative y axis of the graph when you add the second condition. The highlighting is in bold red, so it's not asymptote of 1/x either. Unfortunately I can't enter images here

Why did my profiles vanished for no reason?

I opened firefox just a few minutes ago, and my profiles are not there. It prompted me to sign in with my account and when I did, both of my profiles are gone. Does anybody have any idea why this happened? This is such a huge pain in the ass. 😭

Books for Engineering Calculus

I am doing engineering in electronics. I have heard Spivak/Apostle are great books for calculus, but they are very theory oriented. I would have loved to read them to study calculus rigorously but I am not sure how beneficial it is going to be in engineering which is very much application oriented.

I have studied basic high school calculus (derivatives, integration definite/indefinite, basic differential equations) and I struggled mainly when it comes to solving difficult problems. Seniors of my college said you only need to do memorize basic high school formulae + some lecture ppt to ace the exams but I want to learn the subject in some depth.

What are some good books when it comes to application oriented calculus, with problems which are somewhat challenging? I heard Stewart is great but it contains a lot of plug and chug problems (some challenging problems as well). Also heard Thomas/Finney is a good textbook, but not sure if I should proceed with it based on how lengthy it is.

How do I get rid of my fear of cycling/driving or roads in general?

I am a 17 year old guy, and I am really anxious (in general). I have social anxiety, I literally feel my heart thumping when I used to open my class's door, or when I am going to barber. I know nothing is going to happen, nobody is going to harm me, but the anxiety still persists.

I do know how to ride a bicycle, but still the anxiety scares me so much. I am from India, which is not well known for it's traffic. It's absolute chaos here, nobody follows lane driving, there are no bicycle lanes. Whenever I see kids half a decade younger than me ride a cycle, it makes me so sad. My mom pushes me to cycle because it's just a neat thing to do but I can't say "I am scared". Parents were talking about teaching me driving but I don't think I will be able to handle the pressure of driving a big ass car. I see my friends drive since they were 13, meanwhile I am still so incompetent when I am almost a legal adult.

I can't remember maps and spaces at all. I have seen my dad drive completely by memory while chatting, meanwhile I can't remember my way to home. How do I get rid of this fear and start to understand roads and places a bit better?

Is the current in a conductor during the transient state unequal in the conductor and resistor?

I was watching this video by floathead physics (check around 3:20), where the host says during the transient state, current is high in the wire which has less resistance, while relatively lower in the resistor. But doesn't this contradict Kirchhoff's law?

He does explain how this current equalizes and becomes steady as electrons accumulate in the in-outs of the resistor, which doesn't make much sense. How are electrons moving through resistor if they are accumulated, bringing the famous water pipe analogy, how does water flow if the pipes are clogged? This explanation does kind of explain the convention of sign in resistors (negative where current enters, positive where current exits).

Another question, he explains how the force becomes zero on the electrons (thus drift velocity is constant), but if an electric field exist along the wire, how come acceleration becomes zero?

The more I have started to learn about electricity intuitively, the more puzzled I have become. The water pipe analogy does not hold really well for me, it solves the question I have temporarily, but creates so many contradictions in my mind😓.

Final question. How do you figure out what actually happens if you get some doubt, because all of my doubts can not be answered by youtubers, books, lectures or folks like you who do know about physics. The video was quite interesting and I have never studied it in high school.

Thanks for reading!

Fun fact about gooning

When I was 16, mai and my relatives ek function ke lie bahar gye hue the. My cousin (15M) was sleeping beside me. Floor pe matresses bicha rkhe the cuz it was just an empty room. We talked for a while and when he slept, I qctually gooned stealthily beside him and ejaculated in my underwear. It was genuinely such a good edging session god abhi bhi yad hai voh. I went to bathroom to clean up the mess

Is there a subreddit to request meme templates, or edit them?

I want to see "inverse" of a very famous meme template, but I have no idea how to make them.
