Need advice on '89 Riviera CRT Touchscreen issue (Buttons press, but no response)

Hey everyone,
I'm working on my 1989 Buick Riviera and running into an issue with the CRT touchscreen. The screen turns on, displays an "Engine Controls / Electrical Problem Detected" message, and registers button presses, but it won't actually control anything no air conditioning, no heat, and no radio response.

I recently swapped in another CRT screen, but the exact same issue persists.

Has anyone with an '89 Riviera dealt with this kind of command/serial data failure before? Looking for any tips and advice!

Retooling the Rotation: My thoughts and grades on the Dubs' 2026 Draft and the Al Horford re-signing.

Before free agency kicks off in a few days, wanted to share my recap of how our new rookies fit into Steve Kerr's 82-game rotation, plus the roster balance between our veteran core and the young guys. Would love to hear your thoughts on the haul! Full piece here: https://open.substack.com/pub/seniorstranger/p/deep-inside-the-dubs-draft-injecting?r=4539qf&utm\_medium=ios&shareImageVariant=split

Brayden Burries

Arizona SG Brayden Burries described how he believes he can have an immediate impact with the Warriors outside of just scoring. He highlighted his defense, rebounding, and playmaking for others.

9 more days until draft night⏳

I wouldn’t mind taking Yaxel Lendeborg at all. He’s 6’9”, 240, brings size, athleticism, rebounding, and has shown he’s a willing passer. He shot 37% from three this past season, and with four years of college experience, he looks like someone who could contribute right away. With Jimmy and Moody expected to miss significant time, adding a mature wing/forward who can defend, rebound, and fit within the system makes a lot of sense.

Sabonis trade idea

What do y’all think about the idea of going after Sabonis?

I’ve been thinking about it for a day or two and honestly I think he’d be a great fit with the Warriors. The dude can rebound, pass, set screens and you can run offense through him when Steph doesn’t have the ball. I feel like Kerr would have a field day with a player like that.

I know people are gonna bring up the defense but we already have Draymond and a pretty solid defensive system so I think you can live with some of Sabonis’ weaknesses if he’s giving you everything else.

As far as a trade goes I was wondering if something centered around Jimmy Butler’s contract could make sense. Sacramento would probably want picks and maybe another player too but I’m just throwing ideas around. I know Jimmy’s making a lot of money and Sacramento might not even be interested but from a basketball fit standpoint Sabonis feels almost perfect for what we do.

Anthony Slater talked about the Warriors targeting guys who are still in their prime and Sabonis is only 30. He fits that timeline way more than some of the older names that get brought up.

Maybe I’m overrating the fit but I feel like Sabonis next to Steph would be nasty. Am I crazy or does anyone else see it too?
