Married/ engaged men, how did you prepare?

So I’ve decided I’m going to propose to my girlfriend, however the logistics of it is overwhelming me a bit. So I have some questions if that’s okay?

How did you ask for the parents blessing? Her mum and dad are separated but I want to seek both of their blessings.

How to find her ring size? She wears rings but none fit on that finger. She’s aware I want to propose so I could just ask her to come into a jewellers with me to measure it but if there’s a nicer way I’d rather do that.

How long do rings take to order/ arrive? If I go into town and see one I think she’d like can I just buy it and walk away that day?

She doesn’t want a proposal in front of loads of people but she wants someone to be able to film/ take pictures. Any suggestions on how to do that? I have a spare phone so I could hide that somewhere recording it.

I think that’s all for now, thank you in advance!!

UK based if that matters

Heard from my brother for the first time in about a year

Hadn’t spoken to my brother for about a year, we didn’t have a massive falling out or anything but we had pissed each other off so just stopped talking. I’ve always been very on and off with him anyway, we have a great time when we’re together but he just lies and tries to stir the pot.

I was feeling quite vulnerable and was missing him in February so messaged him as you can see in the screenshot. Woke up this morning to this message, not sure what to do.

Katie is our younger sister, neither of them speak to dad (their own choices and I’ve never tried to persuade them otherwise) but my brother owes my dad £4,000 which I think is probably the cause for the hesitation in speaking to me.

I miss having a relationship with him but I just don’t know what to do.

Edit: I replied

Hey man, things are okay here thank you. Feel like a catch up is pretty long overdue though!

Fair enough mate, it did hurt at the time to be honest but I can see why you thought that way. Just so you’re aware though I have no intention of getting involved in any issues you and dad have, and I wouldn’t even if he asked me to.

Next time I’m in *home town* it’d be good to meet up? Go for a coffee or a pint or something? I do really miss you.

Those in the Met™️, how are you feeling about this weekend?

Obviously two massive marches of people who don’t get along well, curious as to how you think it’s gonna go?

This is my boy, he’s 4 years old and I’ve had pet insurance for him all his life. Just got his renewal through though and they want £62 a month. That’s a mental amount of money for a young healthy dog. I’ve already lowered my coverage amount. I’m debating just putting £50 a month every month into a separate account and reserve it for any vet bills just in case I do need it. Just wondering what other dog/ animal owners do.

Hi all, I’m in the UK and I’m just wondering how much a 4 pack of original monster is in Poland. They’re normally £5-6 here but I can get a Polish 4 pack for £3.49. Just curious as to how much it would cost actually in Poland.

I think cheese is better underneath. Keeps the toast integrity and forms a nice base for the beans.
So mine goes, toast- butter- cheese- beans- black pepper
