I have a very loved Old Town discovery 169. It has seen many lakes and rivers and the bottom of the hall has worn through in two places from pulling up on sandy beaches, etc. Has anyone had any success in patching or reinforcing these boats? It's apparently made out of polyethylene and nothing seems to stick to it well. I had 3D printed a reinforcement piece, heat formed it into place, and attached it with JB weld machine epoxy, it worked great for the 2 hours before it pulled off because. I had reached out to the company to ask them and their only answer was to offer to sell me a $500 reinforcement kit which seemed a little silly.

My wife and I were sitting out on the deck tonight around 9:20p.m. and saw an object in the sky. It was about the size and shape of a crescent moon, but maybe more like the shape of an exhaust cone of a rocket. It was moving, parallel to the horizon but well up in the air, but slow enough that it took me 2 or 3 seconds to be sure it was moving. It was there for maybe 15 to 20 second and then just disappeared. My wife saw it too, somebody on next door also reported it. Any idea what it was?

Is there a website, or app, that I can input my location, and it will tell me if the game is airing and what channel it is on? It feels the NFL broadcasters are so fragmented: this day here, this day there, this day on your CBS affiliate buy only if you drive 2 hours north, this day here on days that sum to an even number and Mars is rising in Capricorn, etc.... Is there a single place that I can go to see if I can watch a game? (This post was triggered because my brother asked me if I was watching the preseason game tomorrow and my answer was "I have no clue."

I probably like the song you're playing, I probably listened to it in my car. But, I didn't take a canoe 5 mi down the river to a rustic campsite only accessible by water to listen to Queen's We are The Champions drown out every other sound.

I'm going backpacking and don't want to bother with the 1 oz of extra weight for a water filter. What symptoms should I tell my doctor I have so he gives me antibiotics ahead of time to cover whatever I might get from unfiltered water?
