I haven't heard anybody say this about Kirby Return To Dreamland so I'll say it

It's a great game, amazing, I understand why they remade it for Switch and I'm so glad they did, but I do have one complaint, call me IGN because Return To Dreamland has too much water

Let me explain, not counting World 1 and World 5, every world has at least ONE level with a large swimming section (even if World 7's one swimming section only requires you to swim over the surface, it's still water), and Kirby has never really had the best swimming controls in my personal opinion

Despite this flaw, Return To Dreamland is one of the most peak Kirby games, especially the Switch remake, I just wanted to address this

I just love how one of the morals in Super Why straight up went over my head because I can be stupid sometimes

It's funny because all Super Why morals are spelled right out to you, LITERALLY

It was 2023 when I first rewatched and processed the moral in the episode The Three Feathers, and I was mostly just making jokes about "Depressed? BE HAPPY"

You want to know when I understood what this episode was TRYING to teach... When I started playing Rhythm Heaven Groove, aka, 2026, THREE YEARS LATER

I mostly realized this because usually with the Rhythm Heaven Perfect campaign I only attempt Perfects on minigames I know I can do (I have a tiny bit of a fear of failure), I thought I wasn't able to get the one for the second to last level (not saying what it is in case you don't want spoilers), got it first try

And I get it, the moral is supposed to be to never give up, even if things seem hopeless, just keep trying, HOW DID THIS FLY OVER MY HEAD UNTIL THREE YEARS AFTER THE INITIAL VIEWING XD

To be fair, I'm AuDHD, that could've played a role, now I'm curious, is there any kid's show moral (clear or not) that flew over your head until the moment it was starting to make a difference in your life somehow

What... I'm sorry, but if this is why you never returned to your son maybe you should find a different way to get money 😅

What even are the chances of this happening

Something tells me the secret version of Hoop Trundling is just random

Like, you can activate it in a garenteed way by coming to the first version after Hoop Trundling 2, but I didn't do that, the level I played prior to entering Hoop Trundling 1 was Sweeper Star 1, I just wanted to play Hoop Trundling 1 normally and I enter the level and it's the secret version (and I didn't even touch Hoop Trundling 2 at all today)

So I think if you don't play Hoop Trundling 2 beforehand it's just random

I have officially determined that A For Effort hates me

A week ago, the Perfect campaign picked A For Effort, I fail the Perfect on the Sea input (the last input), I'm already in a sore mood from it, I even intentionally threw the other two chances that time I was so annoyed

Today, the Perfect campaign picks A For Effort again, and I fail at the exact same point, the Sea input

This can't be a coincidence, either something is up with that input or letter A is trying to rage bait me, either way, I don't think I'm ever attempting this Perfect again until I figure out what is up with it (I think it's slower than usual)

I think people interested in writing for this franchise might need to know this (tagged as spoiler because it involves Groove and a Perfect reward within)

So if you write fanfiction or whatever for Rhythm Heaven, you likely pay attention to the cast sections of each game to know which characters get proper names and which don't, and than you go through and name every character who doesn't get a proper name

Just a notice, Alien Alphabet kinda lies to you in this regard, the two kids are credited TOGETHER as "Friends", however, the girl in particular DOES have a proper name, it's just HIDDEN, you need to actively TRY to find it, and all you got to do is get the Perfect for Alien Alphabet 2 and unlock it's reading material, and only THERE do they reveal that the girl's name is "Shelly" (she actually has TWO proper names, as they also confirm she goes by "Nao" when she's older), why hide this information

I had unfortunately already given a name to this girl before I found this out, luckily since the name I chose was "Crystal", I could get around it by saying "Crystal" is just a nickname, and that Shelly is her birth name, but still, this could've been so much easier if I was told from the start XD

The cast section COULD'VE done what Fever did with the Double Date couple, mark the two characters separately, like show Shelly first and mark her as "Shelly", and just mark the boy as "Shelly's friend", problem solved, could they really not afford to let the kids not be directly next to each other at all times, explain creator of the cast section XD

So yeah, just wanted to let all the fanon writers know

"Soda Hop 2 is just Lockstep"

Listen, I believe you, but if that's the case than how was the Soda Hop 2 Perfect so easy for me XD

I'm gonna go ahead and use placebos as a metaphor for what this is to me, I struggle with Lockstep because I associate it with being a hard minigame, but than I get Soda Hop 2 correct most of the time because I don't associate it with being hard, or it could be that Soda Hop 2 has rest notes

One thing I want say about a Groove minigame that's similar to a previous one, Synchro Wings is just Moai Doo-Wop, please tell me I'm not the only one to think this about Synchro Wings

So, how will Rhythm Heaven Groove add to Heaven Studio, let's discuss

So first off, I know for a fact the Heaven Studio devs are certainly not gonna add any of the new minigames RIGHT AWAY, it's too soon, Nintendo is actually taking into account what goes on with it, so I give it about two or three months after release, Nintendo would probably stop caring by that point

And now I'm thinking about what minigames will be top priority in adding... I know for certain A For Effort will be one of the top priorities, and I feel the Heaven Studio version would either be vanilla, or a unique kind of Call And Response that would allow people to just put in whatever words they want

And than High Five Fever would definitely be top priority spesfically for it's green screen gimmick in the actual game

And than Quick Hands and Hoop Trundling would be top priority by default

Than I assume any other top priority minigame would be ones that are fun to play or would be hilarious to mess around with in the editor

I swear I have the weirdest dreams about Super Why, like my brain is trying to make it MORE trippy and confusing, and I love it.

I get why, after all, Super Why is my all time favorite preschool show, and probably favorite show PERIOD thanks to nostalgia (I originally said "favorite form of media period", but than I remembered "Wait, Rhythm Heaven exists, sorry Super Why") but anyway

I multiple times on the Internet mentioned the dream about how Super Why just suddenly turned into Resident Evil for no reason, I can explain that, Super Why was on my mind that entire day, and when I was younger I used to love watching my dad play zombie games, so my brain kinda morphed them together like it does, I was initially terrified of this, but looking back, it's halarious (except for the part where Red didn't make it, why is it always Red, even in my own head, she's thrown under the bus repeatedly)

Anyway, I'm mainly making this post to talk about the dream I had last night, which I feel would be the ideal Super Why reboot for comedy and fun, my brain just used the OG style from season 1 of the og show, but I am perfectly fine with the 2D style from the actual reboot, also notably, no Woofster and no Power Paige

Anyway, I only really remember two aspects, one, there were characters breaking the forth wall like "Oh, we have to let the Super Readers do something, that's the writer's plan" or whatever, and even letting the audience know which characters would do whatever without spoiling the actual events, and two, the order of when characters would do their segments would be fully random, notably, Super Why wouldn't be the only one to ever save the day at the end, sometimes the one to save the day at the end would be Princess Presto or maybe even Wonder Red, that of which I didn't see but the dream implied it via the comedic forth wall breaking characters.

My brain played out like two sample episodes but I only remember one plot, apparently Pig was wanting to act a little more like an actual pig (of course, meaning in a kiddy type of way, he didn't want to straight up stop acting human, more like anthropomorphic animals that act human but keep some of their animal traits and instincts, what drugs was my brain on anyway)

This dream really makes me want to see and read Super Why fanfiction on AO3 if that even exists :P

Unpopular opinion, I'd rather they undo the recent update than have constant fights and easily diminishing relationships

I'm glad that people have their drama back, but it appears to me that Nintendo went WAY TOO FAR in that extreme.

Even if your island has mostly Easygoing Miis, fights are horrendously common, I know for a fact I'm not the ONLY one who plays this game to see the POSITIVE relationships, and I hate how that was practically ruined for us because we're in the minority

Though honestly, the reason I stopped playing the original Tomodachi Life was because of how much drama I had on my island, I was getting really tired of having to solve the same long problem over and over again CONSTANTLY, I don't want to end up quitting the new Tomodachi Life for the same reason

I propose hitting somewhere in the middle, how fight rarity SHOULD work in my opinion is that it depends on the island vibe, just like in the original, is that too much to ask

*Please no disrespect, we all have our own opinions, and just because an opinion is shared by the majority it doesn't mean it's fact*

AITJ for trying to kill a man who HAPPENS to be a monster?

There's been a lot of problems with pests in the coming days, now I've got my gun, my best solution I have is to kill all these creatures, now, the woman I'm trying to get with, T, doesn't agree with this, according to her, they're cute, but I feel what matters is that they're eating everybody's crops and they can't exactly bother us anymore if they're dead, she needs to understand that not every life can be spared.

However, a humane pest control group has come along and started to get the attention of T because they catch the pests peacefully and harmlessly, which mind you, is not the best idea.

The night after I first realized my competition, a giant monster started rampaging the town eating everybody's crops, and it even attacked the town's priest, I saw this as my opportunity, there's no way you could spare a monster who attacks people, killing it is the best option.

A few nights later though, I realized that the monster and one of the workers of the humane pest control company are actually the same person/creature, I get that he's a real person and not a pest and therefore killing him would be murder, but he clearly had no control over these nightly powers, and the fact he was willing to attack people as a monster, I feel like it's still for the best to kill him, with the extra benefit that T will be all mine, AITJ?

So I was just told about an oversight in the Fleshy Souls version of Yo-Kai Watch 2, if it's even real?

Apparently, between every single tree in uptown Springfield, one of them, but only ONE of them, can spawn one of the Yo-Kai that's normally Bony Spirits exclusive, since I play Fleshy Souls (mostly because my brother hogs the Psychic Spectors cartridge) I decided I wanted to find this tree and Yo-Kai

HOWEVER, when I Googled it to try and figure out which spesfic Yo-Kai I'm looking for, I got no results regarding it, leading me to question the existence of this oversight, so I have a question, is this oversight real, and if so, which Bony Spirits exclusive am I supposed to keep an eye out for

Edit: Although I will say I updated my game to the current version if this helps

I very much love the videos and love going back to rewatch them, but in this time of year it's hard because I get bombarded with the exact same unskippable Pokemon Day ad every 5 minutes :(

Amazing Mirror is my all time favorite in the series, not because it was the first though, it was actually the forth Kirby game I have ever played (the first three being Nightmare In Dreamland, Dreamland 2, and Epic Yarn), I remember receiving the cartridge for Amazing Mirror as a Christmas gift from my parents and I loved the sense of openness and feeling of having friends without actually having friends it gave with the CPU Kirbs, also no Bugzy, my biggest worry whenever playing Nightmare In Dreamland

I acknowledge the flaws everyone brings up about Amazing Mirror but generally I hate hearing that it's really THAT bad compared to other entries, which is probably like a 6/10 but for a Kirby game that isn't that good, it's literally considered a divisive title, luckily face it, for all Amazing Mirror's flaws, it's soundtrack most definitely isn't one of them

But my point, nostalgia blindness is real and makes it to where it's hard to admit that a game you hold so dear to your heart is actually bad, but generally I'll continue to have Amazing Mirror be considered my favorite entry in the Kirby series because I generally enjoy it as is and wouldn't change anything (unless I had the power to mess around with easy coding lol)
