There's lightning.
I was about to wake the spouse from their nap, but they were already up and excited to watch from our porch.
Also, now I know I can wake them to let our small boy cat under the blanket.
That's it.

I'm growing cayenne. Thai. Grew garlic. Got a long (aka cow horn.) Red bell and carrot. Shallots. One jar, 17% kosher salt. We like salt. That one got the lime juice.
Other jar got a 16% salt brine.
Both with Braggs apple vinegar.
We shall see what happens.
Any tips?
500 g bf
350 g water
100 g starter (breadedict Cumberbitch has become stronck!)
10 g sea salt
Mixed water and starter. Added flour. Mixed till almost combined. Sprinkled all salt.
Waited an hour. Started stretch and fold. Gave it like another hour. Same. Did that again. Then a few coils. Not sure on timing. I was tired.
Shaped and into the bannetton.
I still have no idea what I'm doing. I've baked lots of breads and whatnot. Why is this so stressful 😭
Got a house. No hoa. Decided make the lawn NO LAWN. Zone 6 A/B ny. Have baby bunnies in the yard. I'm not sleeping. I'm afraid for them. Please tell me what is 'noxious'?
Edit: street and sidewalk views in the comments.
HAPPY EDIT! Guy came by today. We all chatted (he was very nice, just knew nothing about plants. He said that himself.)
We now have an agreement. We will keep the hell strip moderately trimmed, and he's agreed the inner lawn is A-OK!
We explained what we are doing, what things are. He now knows what creeping Charlie is haha. Had to pull up a picture on the web, because we are winning that battle!
He learned a lot today And we are grateful.
In the end, sanity won.
Moral of this story, find someone willing to listen and learn. Hopefully this helps others.
And hopefully I'll have pictures of baby bunnies soon! We showed him the nest, you can see where mama made a decoy tunnel to sneak in for feeding ti.
I've had Gmail for years. Why is it mine and everyone else is being told mow have to pay?
I grew garlic last year (first time.)
We have a LOT of wind and a LOT of snow here.
I did the straw thing, but it was wet come spring. So I moved that about (mostly to the Hudson hibiscus aka rose of sharon.)
I don't know how to keep them upright. Can I just trim them? Is there any method in high wind areas?
I want to grow again. I got good garlic, but more than 50% ended up microplane and portioned in the freezer.
And the place we were considering eating at prior? Auto grat 20% at $50. To make sure they can pay employees. So they expect me to tip almost %50 for this?
Hard no. Why do places do this? I'm a chef. Over 30 years. I'd refuse to work at a place did this. Wanted Mexican. But going to go to the Peruvian fusion place instead. Don't force me to pay your people.
No place I've worked at has an issue paying me. Why lie.
Just opened a brand new, sealed jar. And found a MOLDY pickle? How did that even happen? Who should I contact? I don't have the receipt anymore. I bought these last week.
The skunks are regular visitors, but the little fast thing...
Any ideas?
Edit to add: NY state, by lake Ontario.
I've no history on this thing.
Orange girl cat for scale. I have an actual kitchen scale of you think I need a weight.
We moved 2 years + ago. Total agreement to go native lawn. Budget is limited, but been both getting started and growing from seed.
Anyway, atp we've achieved both swallowtail and monarch butterflies. A large variety of wildlife. We have a small yard. But can do a lot.
No hoa is a huge factor.
And we get this... It will only get more!
Edit: weird autosomething
They are finally here! I'm so excited! Went to plant my red bell pepper and black Cherokee tomatoes and there they were.
