Although V is already among the show’s characters who were most put through the wringer/subjected to a continuous trauma conga line without ever catching a break and deserve better than what they got, her journey is the only one that I genuinely despised, not due to being poorly written (which it clearly isn’t in any way) but due to how cruel it was.

In the beginning she was just a friendly Worker Drone who had vision problems and a crush on N but then suddenly the Absolute Solver infected her and turned her into a psychotic machine forced to kill people for its amusement against her will while possibly being fully conscious of everything.

After that, she endured an excruciatingly painful process of being turned into a Disassembly Drone and being forced both to help the Solver destroy every single planet in the universe and distance herself from the love of her life (N) while doing her job so he won’t be harmed, something which caused her an unbearable emotional pain which she endured every second in god knows how many years and did the most to hide behind her psychotic sadist facade.

Later on, when her squad arrives in the last remaining planet in the universe to be destroyed, she sees N gradually bonding with a Worker Drone (Uzi) who happens to be a Solver Host and reminds her of Cyn the trauma the latter inflicted on her.

And then, after she sacrifices herself to help her friends and apologizes N for having kept him in the dark, showing the utter hell she had to endure to protect him, the MOTHERFUCKING ABSOLUTE SOLVER ITSELF APPEARS AND TRIES TO FORCE HER TO WATCH IT EAT N’S CORE WHILE LAUGHING LIKE THE PSYCHOTIC SADIST IT IS!!!!!!!

Last but not least, she sees that N and Uzi are officially dating and although she accepts their relationship and is satisfied that the former is happy with the Emo Grape, she still definitely feeling miserable and empty of having sacrificed everything for the love of her life and being left with almost nothing (except Sparky).

The trajectory of other characters might have been cruel on their own right, but only V’s made me truly mad at the plot for making her give up everything and be left on the dust like this, she deserves so much better than this.
