Bees inside my walls? what to do?

Hi. This just started happening in summer since last year, but around morning and early afternoon, I would hear buzzing noise above me. I'm in the highest floor so above me is the roof. They last about 30 secs and then go quiet, and then go again. They stopped at night though, and don't continue into winter, but they are really loud and buzz a lot during summer like now.

Is a bachelor in finance worth it from this school?

Hi. Kinda late considering new semester is starting next week. I've been thinking between finance and accounting. Finance has more leeway for jobs, while accounting, although always needed, is very specific and demanding. I've been looking for jobs on both sides, and entry level accounting jobs are very questionably harsh. Financial related jobs however is more diverse but generic requirements. Similar to the degree, one is more specific and technical while one learns the basis and some accounting course. I've also heard that having an accounting degree can do various job while finance degree cannot. I'm more geared towards private accounting than public, although i'm pretty sure the accounting b.s at umgc is not enough to sit for cpa exam. Finance is more similar to what i wanted to do before (business mgmt) and i'm not the best at math but i've heard hard works pay a lot off in accounting. Anyone with either a degree in accounting or finance, pls help a lost soul

Acquaintance asks to hold ticket for them, still haven't answered my msg or payment request. Should i sell them to someone else?

Hi. Going to Lolla in a week yay. I bought tix since March and accidentally bought 2 extra. Now i have one left. An acquaintance reached out then and asked for me to keep him one. I met this guy at a concert of a performer that is going to Lolla soon, and so I said yes. He works overseas, so responding to message pretty slow. I've been patient and texted them to send me delivery info and payment info. He kept answering msg one at a time and then went MIA again. I decided to not ship and just wait to meet him at the festival. However, if he really intends to go, which he did let me know that he is still going, shouldn't he have reached out to pay and not let me wait? This is not even like a friend friend, just someone i met at a concert. I feel like i'm being too gracious. I don't think he would scam me out and not show up, but at the same time if he alr has plane tix and plans, shouldn't he have sent payment and everything but now i'm just being ghosted on msg.

What to do if I feel slighted and ignored at work?

Hi. Brief background, I have two jobs, one is full time and the other one is part time. This post is about the PT one. For PT, I work as a martial arts teaching assistant. It's not serious and they pay me below minimum wage, but I get discounts since I also take classes. 70% of the employees that are kids doing SSLs and leadership program.

I have always felt like I was never seriously considered while working there. I started doing volunteer when I was a minor and then got paid when I am allowed to. Before, the system was more like they hired anyone that is taking classes and dedicated enough, so maybe that's why they selected me. I took a break during covid and came back recently both as student and employee. As I started attending meetings i realize that there is a lot of favoritism and maybe it could be bc it's a family run business.

I am dedicated to the sport since I have spent 7 years doing this, but I am not competitive enough to care for championship and glory, but still care for the material and the sport. Most of the kids working here are 15 years old who likes to show off, and good for them, but i regularly feel like bc i don't share the same competitive spirit they don't let me do certain things. For example, we have belt promotion which is when students go up a new belt. I am constantly casted aside as a "filler" to assist even when clearly the ratio between assistant and student is huge. I've been told to "only move when I got told to". I also don't get treated like an assistant during class by the lead instructor, only calling me over when they truly don't have anyone. When I was reapplying for the position, I have to message the boss several times b4 he gave me documents and contract. I also have to ask him multiple times to add me in the group chat, but he does immediately when a favorite student of his turns 16 and got added to the groupchat.

But at the same time I am conflicted bc i don't want to have beef with them bc i am still a student there, and classmates and students like me and I've been there for a long time. But I'm considering quitting as an employee bc i feel disrespected and ignored, but how do I phrase it or maybe should I not mentioned it at all?

Certificate in accounting principles worth to have?

Hi everyone. Currently in the process of switching to accounting for my bachelor and was wondering if anyone here also have the undergrad cert for accounting principle. I was thinking that while en route for my bachelor, I could have the cert and be able to find job. Is the cert worth it (ik it's $50) and actually useful? Thank you

How to negotiate salary as a job rookie?

Hi. Currently working 18/hr as a restaurant person. Trying to switch to admin/office work. I applied to be a medical receptionist about a week ago for a local primary care. The post said 19-21/hr, and since i have no experience in office work, i told them 19 was fine but not lower. That comes with the assumption that i can work 6 hours each 4-5 days. During the interview, i got told that since the office is new, they only need me there 2-3 days a week. If so, i would make more money at my current and that doesn't mean anything. They are considering me and another person, but if they do offer me or just in the future with other job, how do i bring it up without seeming arrogant or money-hungry? Thanks.

My train just skipped rockville and head straight to shady grove

Super funny. Was on train to go home to rockville and train slows down as usual. I was on my phone but if the door had opened i would have known. There was still a "doors opening on ur left" but then it sped up and just gone. I thought i was being distracted on the phone and missed but apparently some people on the train were also confused and then i found out that they actually did skipped rockville. Well just waiting for my dear bus to take me home through 30 stops now.

Weekly food journey in union market (need rec)

Hi. For context, i work about 20 mins by car close by, and i only go on monday near noon bc thats when i'm done with work. I've been going every week for a while now, and trying new places each time. Recommendations are super helpful, and fun, but here are places I've tried so far:

  1. Steak cheese on everything bagel from Buffalo bergen. Big and melty. Also ordered a lavender housemade soda. Solid 8/10

  2. Tuna musubis from Small kine. Pretty cheap compared to the most things in there. Decent size depending on how much u eat. 9/10

  3. Bulgogi bowl from Takorean. I don't think these conceptual bowls are for me. The kimchi though, spicer than i thought it would be. For me the rice was hard on some part, feels like microwaved. 5/10. Maybe i should have gone for the tacos

  4. Fish po boy and sweet potato fries from district fishwife. Sandwich was warm, although there is just a lot of lettuce. I think it would have been nicer of the lettuce was shredded instead of big pieces. The fries are top notch however. I still occasionally buy the fries. Fries 10/10, sando 6/10

  5. Tomato burrata toast with prosciutto from Toastique. It's more walk from the main market, though is delicious. They should cut the prosciutto up since it's one giant piece. 10/10

  6. Pupusas from LC pupusas. Its inside la cosecha. Somehow one pupusa seems expensive but i was very ready to buy the 3 packs. The illusion of price. All the fillings are steaming and the slaw and the salsa! Amazing! 10/10

  7. Fish and chips from aboveground. My first try in union market and good lord, at least the Brits got the fried stuff. Crunchy and fish is soft, a bit too much on the chips but it's foolish of me to complain the quantity when the name is fish and CHIPS. 10/10. I hope one day they just sell the fish by itself or smth

Pls give good recs. Thank you.

aespa fashion collabs item are quite expensive. Is it similar for other idols as well

I saw some real cute shirts from the Winter New balance collab. Went up on some site to find them, and you're telling me a t shirt is 60 dollars. Or maybe i'm on the wrong site idk. Jackets are like 160 dollars.. i saw the karina mlb collection too and although i dont intend to buy them, they are caps.. that are priced at 90 dollars. I am not the type to buy celebrity endorsed products unless they are cute but these prices are very high. Is it similar in terms of other idols as well? Or is it bc they are really popular right now?
