If you had to make a list of the best games of each genre, what categories would you have? (Because you can't compare games with different goals to each other)

I just like to find a consensus on things, and I am curious of what most people think?

To clarify my question more: like if you have to give a list of your top games of all time, ranking them seems pointless because you can like different games for different reasons, but have a general list I feel can make it too bloated and unfocused, so limiting one game to each category makes the most sense, but which categories should I use?

To the mods: this is not a post about video game lists, it is about making video game lists. If that still breaks your rules, please let me know of a better subreddit for this kind of discussion.

Why is the HD2 community in the gutter, compared to other games like, DRG, far far west, space marine 2, payday 2, etc?

They have all had problems in the past, some more so others, but never for so long, so constantly, and so extreme. I know about a lot of the complaints with the devs and the game, trust me, I have them too. It's hard to wrap my head around why this has only occurred to the degree it has to helldivers 2?

My homebrew chapter: The Iron Reavers, successor's of the Iron hands, know for mechanized and heavy bombardment warfare.

Founded during the grim days of the 12th Founding in the shrouded era of the Age of Apostasy. Little is known of this dark genesis, a time when the Imperium sought not heroes, but unbreakable wardens to hold the line amidst the fires of internal collapse.
