This is not a complaint! Question on usage and limits

So I am a bit confused as to what is going on with my ChatGPT ... As I said in the title, I am absolutely not complaining, I just don't understand it.

I have been working on my website for the better part of the day today. There have been dozens of file uploads and just as many downloads, long conversations about changes and ideas and asking for suggestions on some tricky parts, and I'm still going ... I am on the 20.00 a month plan I believe.

I am on the same plan on claude.ai, and yet, when I work on websites there, I am cut off from being able to send new files, new messages - pretty much everything, quite rapidly - I would say within an hour to an hour and a half, I'm told I now have to wait 2 - 5 hours for my usage to renew or pay more credits.

Why is this not happening to me on ChatGPT? I'm very glad it's not, but I don't understand how we can do NEARLY the amount of work we've been doing without me hitting some cutoff point??

Any explanations?

Yeah, screw this store

This store is beyond ridiculous with their pricing, just completely stupid.

They want $10.79 for a pack of 20 4x6 thermal labels that you can get 500 for 13.95 everywhere else. Absolutely insane. I have no clue how this place is still in business. You try and use their search bar to find one specific thing "4" x 6" thermal labels" and you get 4000 results.

Just horrible overall.

What is the general checkout flow for most cottage food websites?

I am wondering how most people handle checkout flows, basically, what is preferred? Our CFB is open for pickups Mon - Sat, 7 am to 7 pm. Everything we sell is pre-paid on our site. Our flow works like this: Customer adds items to their cart. Once they go to their cart, the first thing they see is a calendar where they can choose their pickup date (minimum of 24 hours advance) and their timeslot (1 pickup per hour so we don't get overwhelmed with orders for one day) ... They then go through the rest of the cart and pay.

Is that the most common? Or do most of you not have a pickup schedule? If not, how do you work out a pickup time with your customers? All emailing back and forth? Do you always take money ahead of baking or do you risk baking for them and them not showing up? Would like some insight please!!

Piano Melody - Does anyone recognize the tune being played here?

Thank you guys :)

I am trying to figure out which piece this is. The gentleman playing it was my step fathers (who recently passed) good friend and I would like to put this piece into the video montage I am making for his memorial service. Thanks in advance!

You asked for it 😊

We've officially added a build your own sampler box at Butter me up bakery! We currently have 13 cookies to choose from and each box is a minimum of 4 cookies.

We bake fresh, so a 24 hour advance order is required.

Head over to https://buttermeupbakery.com to place an order...

Thank you for supporting local small businesses!

This is crap. Really. Pure crap.

Just like so many other things in life, openAI has gone and ruined something that wasn't broken.

I was working on my site around 3 am today and had to start a new session and immediately, nothing but problems. Couldn't figure out what was going on, but then it got worse.

My work flow was pretty simple. I upload a SOT file, it gets edited and a link is provided for me to save it to my pc. Easy peasy. But not good enough. The powers that be at openAI have decided that the damned side panel must now open for EVERY SINGLE FILE ... I am working with extremely large files, database dumps and some php files.

Now instead of just clicking that link and saving, I have to click the link, wait for the panel to open, wait for it to completely fill with the entire files code, then hit download again.

Wtf? Why? What is the point of that? If I wanted a preview (which I don't) I could just open the side panel, no problem, my choice.

Absolutely altered the workflow. Now I'm not even sure if that panel producing the entire code in it is costing me tokens, or if that doesn't count. Either way, I absolutely hate it.

New business - 3rd payment and already marked as potentially fraudulant?

**Update**
Yeah, stripe just delayed another payment, this time it was a family member ordering something so I know it's not the customers causing this issue - they're pretty much saying I'm a risk ...
At this point, I think I'm just going to go back to paypal with their expanded payments, just say screw you to stripe. What a shitty way to treat a legitimate business.
**End update**

I just started using stripe for a cottage home bakery. I got an order for 31.00 and the payment went through fine. The original transaction shows security risk as normal.

Now I get an email saying my payment is being help because it has a high chance of being fraudulent. The customers name and address are both verified on voting websites, so they're real, local people.

It feels like I'm being called potentially fraudulent because I sell out of my home and it's a prepayment for a pickup 48 hours after the charge... Is this going to keep happening to me?

Please explain this sudden change in the way files are presented to me? Driving me nuts!

I have been working with CGPT for a few months now on a website. It's always been the same procedure, over and over. I upload a file, request changes, it gives me the edited file back in a nice, simple, click the link and download the file. Mainly .php and .css files, with a few .js files thrown in that had to be renamed to .txt to get a working download link.

However, that all suddenly broke, with no explanation, no valid reasons given, and it's really kind of pissing me off.

I was working on a page and all was fine - upload, edit, download. The session started getting long so I started a new one.

Same file, a few different edits. Upload, edit ...but wait, now it will NOT let me just download the file. Now literally every file opens that damned side panel, shrinks my chat box and requires an extra click on the download inside of it. No matter what I try and ask it to do, it now routes every php and css file into that damn side box.

Working fine for months - switch session and now only side panel code preview with a 2nd download link to click. It's really messing with my ocd/adhd/whatever other mental issue I may have!!! (Ok, sarcasm there, but I really want it to go back to a simple download)

Why would it change like this from one session to the next?

New bakery

**Updates**
We've been listening to people in this thread and on other platforms and it seems like people would prefer a faster pickup than 48 hours. We've decided for now, while we're still building up a customer base (or trying to!) that we will go to a 24 hour minimum rather than the 48.

Also, a few people mentioned sampler boxes ... I took that to heart and am in the process of adding a function to the website that would let customers create their own sampler from our classic and gourmet cookie selections. Minimum of 4 cookies per box, no limit really... It should be up and running by this weekend or Monday at the latest!!

I appreciate all the feedback!
** End update!**

Hi all, just wanted to let everyone know there's a new cottage food bakery in town :) My wife Greta and I started up about 3 weeks ago and we're really excited! She specializes in cookies, but we have a lot more than that.

Feel free to check us out at https://buttermeupbakery.com and use WELCOME10 during checkout to take 10% off... All of our orders are baked fresh, so we have a 48 hour order window, but it's worth the wait, promise!

Pickup is near Center & Brockway in the Twp, pick your date and time slot and it'll be waiting for you.

Happy to join the local small businesses in Saginaw!

Best method for smokers, burgers dogs... Etc

I am coming from cooking on gas grills for the last few decades and I'm completely clueless as to the best way to use a pellet smoker/grill. I got the pb 1600 elite and hosted a party but my food didn't turn out well at all.

I followed guides for baby back ribs, they were pretty dry even with a cup of apple juice in the wrap for the 2nd cook... I had 20 burgers on the grill and trying to move them over onto the searing section just over that sliding plate was a pita, and they didn't taste great. Was using Walmart frozen Angus patties though, could be why. Had hot dogs up on the 2nd tier and they seemed really unevenly cooked.

Not sure what I'm doing wrong, first time smoker user and all. Also, using the championship blend from pit boss, seemed to add a nice flavor to the ribs, just wish they'd been a lot more tender.

Any suggestions for next time?

How long?

So, how long are we going to keep going to taco bell when even the tiniest hint of them being a good value anymore has completely vanished? $10.99 for 3 soft taco surpremes and a drink? Really? The absolute lowest effort item on the menu and that's the price? 5 years ago, $10.00 would have gotten you a lot of food.

Taco bell is a joke now. Should be boycotted for thinking their food is anywhere near worthy of the prices they're charging for it. I'm done going there, you should be too until they get a clue.

*edit*

I have to say, after reading all of the comments, it really amazes me how in today's world so many people seem to feel as if they're being attacked personally because someone has a different opinion on something they like... Glad to see a lot of people actually feel the same way I do about this though.

TO be completely fair here, I had just gone to TB before writing this, paid an extremely large amount for my food and, being tired of getting charged so much there, decided to say something. I did not say, however, that this is exclusive to Taco bell, it really is all fast food. TB was always the safe haven though, while McDonald's continuously (and still continues to) get worse. Arbys seems to think they're a full fledged steakhouse now, if going by their prices...etc etc, but taco bell was always the hey, let's go at 2 am, spend 79 cents each and get 5 tacos. And it really was good. The beef was beef and not 30%+ filler, the cheese was better and you actually got a big layer of it instead of the sprinkle they give you now.

I'm sorry I seem to have offended so many of you who seem to feel you need to stand up and protect a multi billion dollar industry, but no, it's gone so far down hill compared to those "old days" everyone likes to talk about.

Long shot, but anyone know any local positions in Mid-Michigan?

I am recently retired from OTR (as in, I refuse to spend 3 weeks away from home, let alone a single night anymore, 25 years is enough, burned out!!!) but my living situation does not mix well with no income.

I have been on indeed for days looking and hoping to find a local job that pays more than 15.00 an hour (which a lot of companies try and get drivers for now around here) ... or ones that don't involve heavy lifting/unloading your own trailer.

The few I found (Fedex linehaul, Penske hauling autoparts, some calcium chloride hauling job) and applied for were all no-calls. Are there better places to look than indeed/monster/simplyhired? Those all seem to either be temp agencies or national carriers, whose bullshit I'm experienced enough to never believe again.

Anyone know of any companies that might not be on those sites but are hiring? 50 - 60 hours a week is more than enough for me. Have tanker, dbls/trpls endorsements. No hazmat, but I could start applying for it if I had to, have had it before back in the early 2000's

Need advice...

Hello everyone,
I need some advice here. About 2 years ago I was lucky enough to win a storage locker filled to the brim with antiques... from furniture from the mid to late 1800s to memorabilia and, to my surprise, what seems to be a collection of authentic oriental rugs, a few of which still have their old export tags from Iran. The rugs range in size from a runner and a few throw rugs, to extremely large rugs that look as if they'd easily fit underneath an entire bedroom set.

I live in a small town in Michigan about 2 hours north of Detroit. I need to sell these rugs, but not knowing their value, or even being able to guess, I don't want to just pick a random number and throw them on facebook. They're all in excellent condition, they look as if they were very well loved and taken care of.

What would be the best way to get at least a good idea of their history as well as a value? I have been told written estimates for a collection of 9 rugs could run into some very high figures, and I am extremely low on funds and recently unemployed, hence my need to get them sold.

Would anyone have any good suggestions? I have tried contacting 3 different oriental rug dealers in SE Michigan but never heard back. Any help? I am in kind of a hurry here, but not willing to just give them away for a fraction of what they may actually be worth. Including a few photos of one rug just to show as an example... it is one of the smallest of the collection.

Thanks for any potential help here!

As we all know, as a trucker, sometimes you just don't have the ability to get to a bathroom, so when nature calls, naturally (*pun intended*), you have to find something to go in... It just occurred to me that the 24oz monster cans make the best pee jugs around.

For males anyhow. I'm sure with a shewee (real product lol) women could make use of them as well.

They:
* Hold as much as the max amount most male bladders can hold.
* Have a tight fitting cap that doesn't accidentally fall off or come undone
* Are conveniently opaque unlike water bottles and milk jugs, so it's clandestine.
* Have a wide enough opening that you can easily manage to not make any messes.

Random 5 am thoughts... meh.
