General questions about getting into Marketing, appreciate any and all help!

Hi everyone,

I'm an engineer that likes to build software and solutions for different things. I've been looking into ecommerce and running ads, then I got the idea of running paid ads for renovation/construction companies. I'm sure a lot of people are already doing this for a specific niche like kitchen renovations, garden rooms, roofing, etc.

My background is Mechatronic Engineering, nothing to do with marketing, but I want to utilize AI as I have a vast understanding of it. I was thinking of hooking something like Arcads/Speel/Heygen, or something up with pictures of the actual past work that was done, creating UGC style ads but for these types of niches?

I'd love to hear the more experienced peoples takes on this idea/style? From my research, UGC ads are mainly for ecommerce/dropshipping right now, but I think they can be utilized for other industries too.

I also would love to know peoples experiences on static vs video ads, does it make much of a difference?

Last question is Meta ads (facebook / instagram) vs Google ads, which would you prefer, why, and what's your overall experience with them?

I work a full-time job, trying to make something big for myself here, don't want to just keep throwing money at it hoping it'll work as I'm not rich, but I also know that scared money doesn't make money.

Just trying to play it smart.

Thank you in advance for any and all help anyone can provide!

Need help getting into Ecommerce

Hi everyone,

Everyone seems to have figured out how to make online money except me from the way it looks from the outside. I have crazy work ethic, have tried lots of different niches, industries, etc, nothing seemed to click. I have a masters in Mechatronic Engineering and am pretty good at automations, using AI to solve problems, and whatnot. I want to work smart from here on out. Anyone free enough to give me a helping hand on just general insights on ecommerce? It looks like if I play my cards right and with a little bit of luck it might pop off for people doing it correctly.

Thank you in advance, looking forward to any help :)

Curious about opinions

Hi everyone, very new to Ecom, haven't even tried it out yet, but my background is engineering and I thought to myself let me just automate the whole process:

I've went from automating something that finds products with a mixture of signals from meta/tiktok ad data, websites like minea, etc, hooked it into my own personal ad creator that works similar to higgsfield in the backend, and right now looking to tweak UGC ads I can create on my own similar to Arcads. The product I choose gets scraped, LLM's working in the background to determine if there's a good chance this sells, to automatic landing page creation with custom ads/content about that specific product, and finally hooks the landing page up to a shopify checkout page. Those custom ads get pushed automatically with a predefined budget to campaigns split across whatever socials you're targeting, you choose.

All you have to do is just accept or decline the product on telegram from your personal bot assistant.

I'M NOT HERE TO PROMO THIS SOFTWARE!

I'm here to ask if something like this already exists? If it does, what is it and how much are people willing to pay for this kind of setup?

I put quite a while into this, and I'd love brutal feedback from the people that do this for a living.

TLDR - I've automated the entire process of ecommerce (or how I understand it to be) and would like some valuable feedback from people in the space. Would you use something like this to scale? Would you have any feedback? Any points I'm missing? You get the gist.

Thanks in advance :)

I’m a person that unintentionally equates success with self worth. Everyone around me always tells me that I’m very smart, doing amazing things, chasing greatness, etc, but I just want the money. I’m working on 3 seperate businesses while working 60+ hours a week on my dayjob as an engineer in Intel, have a smoking hot fiancee that I’m marrying in 3 months, the list goes on. The problem is that I have very high expectations and standards for myself because I believe I can. I’m just not there yet, and I can’t seem to shake off the feeling of I’m not enjoying the ride because I’m too focused on getting rich and getting respect. Even though I’m self aware about this issue, it doesn’t change anything. I used to be very fun, very excited about the little things but I guess I’m growing older now and maybe it’s just what happens? I’m 26 for reference.

Hi everyone,

Cooked this up yesterday for a client, would love to hear some feedback! Keep in mind, the Dublin/Europe section isn't complete, need to work on that too. There's little details in the videos that can also be improved but this is just V1.

Hi gentlemen,

I wanted to just come on here asking for some general advice on something that tends to happen in my life. I'm 26, have a decent job as an engineer, and will be getting married in 3 months to a very attractive woman.

I was at a concert today with her and her friends where it was a male performer in her native tongue. I just went to spend some time with her and just in general I feel better knowing I'm there if something was to happen. Anyway that's not the point. The point is, she gets attention from musicians/artists during concerts because she's very energetic and attractive.

Today, there were multiple times where she's with her friends close to the front row and the singer pointed to her while singing, smiled and just kept looking at her in general. This bothers me a LOT. I know being overprotective is a bad thing, but I can't seem to shake off the feeling of "another man is singing and smiling to my fiancee, AND SHE'S LOVING IT". It's really stupid when you think about it but I'm not really finding the right things to say to myself to calm myself down you know. It makes me feel betrayed how excited she gets and how in the moment she is.

Don't get me wrong, she doesn't just throw me to the side and throw herself onto whoevers performing, she waves at me, texts me during the concert, makes sure I'm good, which is all very lovely, so I guess this issue is just coming from a place of insecurity? I don't know, but that's most likely the case. I also trust her not to do anything stupid where she'd go on stage in a Chris Brown concert or something lmao, but I still have that feeling.

Anyway, don't want to ramble on for too long, just wanted to get some feedback from the boys for similar situations, what did you do, what did you feel, how did you prevent it, etc. I don't want to sound like a little insecure bitch by constantly bringing it up too...

Thanks in advance lads!

Hi everyone,

Quick one, I go to concerts sometimes with my fiancee and most of the time it's a male singer/performer. She's very attractive and most of the time gets attention from the performer every single time, and the small things piss me off so much. The musician staring at her multiple times, smiling, pointing to her phone, etc. These types of things most people have no problem in just telling themselves ah whatever but I can't seem to get over that thought of she's forming some sort of bond or tension with this other man. I'm very overprotective and it makes me uncomfortable. I don't want to be unreasonable and tell her you're not allowed to go to concerts, or don't look at the performer for too long or some dumb shit like that, it's not my place. I'm also aware of the fact that if she wanted to she would right. It just bothers me a lot seeing her get so excited over someone else entertaining her and her eyes light up so much when another man gives her attention. Am I the asshole here for bringing this up if it's bothering me or is this just something where I need to just take it on the chin everytime??

Thanks in advance.
