I just grabbed the game today, about 5 hours in loving every second of it and I chose the ability to have parents when creating my character. Assumed the parents maybe were going to be programmed to look similar to your character so was shocked to see this when I first met my mom (1st screenshot) and thought what the heck they must be randomly generated but then have met her again and she looks like this (second screenshot) so no idea what happened there. Got a good chuckle out of me though.
