The Glaive is another essential iconic weapon of Blade in the Wesley Snipes Blade films that it eventually bled into the mainline Earth 616 comic version and other Blade media adaptations since yet strangely it somehow was omitted from being added into his kit for Rivals.

So I am curious to hear from Blade mains would want this to be added into his kit in the future and how would it function in your opinion? Perhaps it could also help give him more sauce and skill expression with his kit?

P.S. I love seeing you guys cook whether you are on my team or on the enemy team, making him work even when he is not a high tier character - plus I love playing him because he is up there as one of my favorite Marvel characters

It not just because it continued to consistently perfectly showcase the graceful lethality of Betsy/Kwannon's ninja skills, but also most importantly we have writers and animators in the 97 production team remembering Logan is a competently skilled martial arts fighter himself who doesn't always just swing around his claws wildly and is capable of adopting a more strategic and precise approach to fighting when up against an adept opponent who counters his usual feral "berserker" style fighting methods. !<

Cause generally having a teammate who dies all lot is often a detriment, but then color me surprised when by the end of the game - I have the most eliminations out of the rest of my team and my final hits weren’t too far behind from the Wolverine on my team.

I thought me dying 10 times was enough for my team to start losing the fight, but somehow me and the team pulled through lol…

Like my god the combat system and animations of the attacks, parries, dodges and special skills in this is absolutely incredible and marvelously animated...

I bought this game last month because I wanted to fully understand what all the hype and fuss was about with this game.

Needless to say I am deeply engrossed with this game thanks to its compelling story + themes, intriguingly rich lore + world-building, brilliant cast of colorful characters, hauntingly beautiful soundtracks, but also most of all I never expected the turn-based combat system to have so much style and sauce which makes it so addicting that it I wanna keep playing.

Already this game is right up there as some of my favorite games of all next to Star Wars Knights of the Republic, Baldur's Gate 3, the older Final Fantasy games (4, 6-10), Persona series, Ghost of Tsushima and few of the Assassin's Creed games (AC1, The Ezio Trilogy, AC3, Black Flag, Origins) --- Just to name a few.

So I just thought I share my thoughts so far with the Expediton 33 community here after sinking in 48 hours into this game.

The new update for whatever reason caused a bug where DD equips his default red Billy Clubs instead of the white ones I had equipped —- IDK if this is happening for other DD mains…

Come on GuangGuang how you let this happen…

Its insanely satisfying how you can fluidly chain together hand to hand combat moves, gunplay, gadgets and enviromental kills all in one seamless motion once you get the flow of the combat mechanics down. You legit feel like James Bond/007 himself.

God I love the combat in this game.

It’s beautiful and tragic at the same time. !<

Hands down my second favorite game of 2026 after Nioh 3.

As a long time James Bond, this game delievered on every front I can possibly want in a modern 007 game from an engaging story, epic soundtrack, intricate open sandbox gameplay, fluidly responsive combat and Patrick Gibson's excellent performance... This game really made me feel like "Bond...James Bond" in the best ways possible.

I am confident in saying this game is one of my top 4 favorite Bond games next the goats such as GoldenEye, Nightfire and Everything or Nothing.

I am about 20+ hours into First Light and I am confident in saying that Patrick Gibson deserves his flowers and be recognized as part of the pantheon of "great" Bond actors alongside Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig plus a bonus that he is the second Irish actor to play Bond after Brosnan.

Gibson gives such a masterful performance for his younger take on James Bond//007 in the similar vein to how Robert Pattinson portrays a young Bruce Wayne/Batman in Matt Reeves's Batman film. IMO he manages to flawlessly channel a lot of the classic "Fleming-esque" DNA into his portrayal of Bond much in a similar way his Bond predecessors did while still putting on his own unique stamp on the character and giving room for his Bond to grow and develop in future games which is such a rewarding experience narratively.

If I am to compare him to any other previous Bond actor I seen two people favorably bring up how it appears that Timothy Dalton and Roger Moore's takes on Bond subtly influenced Gibson's characterization of Bond and after playing the game myself I can definitely see that Gibson brings a unique blend between Dalton's cold-blooded ruthlesness mixed together with Moore's charming wits. Which makes me happy as someone who does enjoy Dalton and Moore's Bond films, I geninuely believe those who are Dalton and Moore fans are in for a treat with Gibson's Bond.

So those are my thoughts on Gibson's take as Britain's iconic spy. I am curious on Bond fans here who played through First Light if any of you also share similar sentiments?

This is literally why I have told folks in the DB community countless times that connections aren't everything nor should it require a collage essay to explain how the characters are "similar" lol...

You can still have connections/theme that go into the core of what makes the two characters exceptionally similar while still keeping it simple/straight forward.
