It's my birthday today, and honestly, I don't know how I'm supposed to feel

I always thought birthdays were supposed to feel exciting, but for some reason mine usually makes me think about my life a little too much.

Every year, my birthday reminds me that another year has passed, and I can't help comparing where I am to where I thought I'd be by now. I work hard, I try my best, and I'm trying to build a better life for myself, but I still feel so behind sometimes.

I've been feeling especially sad lately. I don't have everything I want in life yet. Financially, I'm still struggling, and sometimes it feels like I'm just existing instead of actually living.

But I'm still here.
And I think that's worth something too.

This year, I started a tiny Etsy shop making children's coloring and activity books. I only have one book up right now because I'm still creating the rest, but it's something I started because I want to eventually build something of my own. It's small, but it's mine, and I'm trying.

I don't really know why I'm posting this. Maybe I just wanted to feel a little less alone on my birthday.

So if you happen to see this, a simple happy birthday, a kind message, or even just telling me something good that happened to you recently would genuinely mean a lot to me. ❤️

I'm hoping this year is kinder to me.

Happy birthday to me, I guess. 🎂

Help me stay sane

I don't know if anyone else feels this way, but my birthday always makes me unusually sad. As it gets closer every year, I'm reminded of my existence and everything I haven't been able to do with my life.

The thing is, I honestly do want to live. I don't want to die. I'm just exhausted from living like this.

I keep asking myself, what did I do to deserve to live so miserably? I feel so behind in life. I don't have money nor material things or anything. I don't have the things I want, and sometimes it feels like I'm just alive and existing rather than actually living. I feel dead inside.

I work my ass off, but I still haven't been happy. I want to do things I actually enjoy. I want to experience life. I want to have things to look forward to. But why does everything seem to come down to money? I wish we could go back to the old days where money is not as important.

My birthday is supposed to be a celebration, but instead it makes me think about where I am in life, where I thought I'd be by now, and how far away I feel from that person.

I don't really know what I'm looking for by posting this.

Maybe I just need to say it somewhere because carrying it around in my head is getting exhausting.

God I want to live. I just don't know how to make this life feel worth living. Help me please maybe some advice or anything that could help me.

What does $20k actually feel like when you’re very wealthy?

Random thought lol. I’m from the Asia, and $20k USD would technically make me a millionaire here.

It got me thinking about how weird money must feel when you have a completely different level of wealth.

Like, for someone without much money, $20k could completely change their life. But for someone with $10M, is $20k basically the equivalent of me spending 2,000?

If you're actually wealthy, I'm curious, what amount of money stopped feeling “big” to you? And did that change how you think about giving money to other people?

I miss you Tim 😞

Maybe I messed up. Or maybe I'm just stupid for getting attached so easily and thinking I'd found a real friend just because we talked for a while.
I still hope we'll meet again someday.

Losing you without even getting to say goodbye hurts more than I expected. I wish I'd met you before life got so complicated for me. You were so genuine, kind, and thoughtful whenever I opened up. Even though we didn't talk every day, your presence always made me feel at ease.

Sometimes I still catch myself wondering what happened. Why did you leave without saying anything? Did I do something wrong? If I did, I wish I had the chance to apologize instead of being left to guess.
I miss my friend, Tim.

I don't know if you'll ever read this, but I hope you're doing okay. I just wanted you to know that your friendship and companionship in my dark days meant more to me than you probably realized.

Anyone else feel like they lost a huge chunk of their 20s just trying to survive?

This came through my mind while i saw some reels about those young millionaires success.

So I quit school about 5 years ago to help support my family. My siblings got to continue their studies and I'm genuinely happy for them, but now that I'm in my mid 20s, I just feel tired in a way that's hard to explain.

Not physically tired. More mentally and emotionally exhausted.
I feel like I haven't really lived these past few years. I've just been working, worrying, and dealing with problems and responsibilities nonstop. I haven't taken a real break, haven't really treated myself, and honestly can't remember the last time I laughed genuinely without something stressing me out in the back of my mind.

Sometimes I joke that I wish just some billionaire would adopt me so I could just disappear and take a year off and finally breathe for once 😂

I mean, I don't even want anything crazy. I don't want a mansion or expensive cars. I just want enough time and money to rest for a while (which i couldn’t afford lol), enjoy life a little, and figure out who I am outside of responsibilities.

I know I'm only in my mid 20s, but sometimes I feel so mentally old already lol

Like I've been carrying things for so long that I'm tired before my life has even really started.

Does anyone else feel like this?
