Friend put me onto a burger place and holy why does it feel like I haven’t had a good burger until this?

This is Burnt Diner somewhere in Taft Avenue just a short walk from both La Salles. This runs circles around Shake Shack at like less than half the price the burger is 179 pesos alone.

You’re in for a real fucking treat because I hate, hate, HATE people that treat rap music weird.

I hate it when Redditors act like it’s cool to not be in the know with rap music.

I hate it when Redditors call it crap then go proceed to jack off in their little basements to Eminem doing that “venom lemon lyrical miracle” bullshit all of the “reddit approved” rappers are doing.

I hate hate HATE it when someone insinuates that they’re cooler for not listening to guys like Kendrick Lamar or Future because NO HATING POPULAR MUSIC DOESN’T MAKE YOU DEEP IT JUST MAKES YOU LOOK PRETENTIOUS.

LET ME TELL YOU HOW MUCH THIS MAKES ME ANGRY BECAUSE I HAVE SO MANY ISSUES RIGHT NOW.

Why is it always rap music that gets caught up in the “I’m too cool for it” trap? Racism I mean maybe it’s popular? Racism I mean just because Eminem is listed here and Taylor Swift who famously has a fanbase that has racism problems before it totally doesn’t mean- yeah it’s just racism. I don’t get why people generalize rap as a bad genre it’s more diverse than any other genre out there and there’s pretty much something for everybody.

I have a friend, she says rap isn’t for her but she really likes poppy stuff like Super Bass by Nicki Minaj which ISN’T THAT HARD TO FIND IT HAS A BILLION STREAMS MIND YOU.

Rap is deadass not a single genre. You have rap rock, instrumental hip hop, boom bap, with a variety of topics that isn’t “sex, drugs, money” which by the way, people still praise rock music’s “sex, drugs, and rock and roll” era yet rap is the repetitive genre? And the production is so much better than given credit for. People hate rap yet the moment they hear sampling their ears perk up like a poppy finding treats. Conservatives will hate rap music but when Morgan Wallen puts the same trap drums from a Metro Boomin drumkit over a country song they cum in their pants.

Ykw this isn’t just about music anymore I just fucking hate racism and I’m not even black I’m Filipino and I’ll be DAMNED if anyone says “oh you’re sticking up for other people” shut it I got enough empathy for people even if it’s just a simple comment.

I’d rather sink my cock and balls into an acidic swamp river than hang out with shmucks who think they’re “too cool for rap music” genuinely shit sniffing inbred mouse fuckers who think they’re cooler than they really are.

I hate misery. by pupsies with the burning passion of a thousand suns, the rush of a million bullets, and the tears from the flood that only Noah’s ark survived.

We’re lucky to live in an age where we can mostly avoid overplay. You can get wireless earbuds with noise cancelling or in ear monitors that can plug your ears while you play what you like. Maybe unless you’re at a job and you can’t avoid it at work because you need to talk to other people, in that case I wont blame you. But it only takes me ONE SECOND of this song to make my fight or flights instincts go up.

This is one of the creepiest damn songs I’ve ever heard. It gives me the same vibe as that creepy part of Discord, the part where folks act like they aren’t their age or act like “e-kittens”. The mere prospect of this song makes me want to throw up, and I keep hearing it in Tiktoks and Instagram reels. Maybe you can say “oh it’s just a one time thing you can skip over it” no you don’t get it. ONE second of this song can ruin my entire hour or even my entire day. That “eewie” voice that reminds me of Annie from Community in that one scene where she’s in a Santa outfit makes me unironically want to hurl into the nearest trash can. This is what I think Sabrina Carpenter sounds like to those who hate Sabrina Carpenter. The lyrics can work if it has a good performance but they leave me horrified which is the intention but it kinda doesn’t work when IT IS ONE OF THE MOST PLAYED SONGS ON TIKTOK AND ON THE BILLBOARD HOT 100 RIGHT NOW. I cannot stress this enough this song makes my skin crawl, makes my hairs twitch, and makes my dinner not want to be in my mouth anymore.

AND ONE LAST THING. I absolutely hate how this is the representation that “underground” slightly lesser known pop is getting right now. Underscores my filipina sister is right there, Slayyyter is absolutely killing it, could have had Tiffany Day as well, Kim Petras just left her label, Jane Remover can still exhale. So many good options for the pop scene, but THIS??? Could have had Underscores undergo the type of year Chappell Roan had in 2024, and maybe she will get famous after opening for Charli xcx, but her not seeing any chart success yet seeing this being spammed in every Tiktok and Instagram Reel whose popularity stemmed from bp and looksmaxxing edits from a bunch of men who really think they don’t need to rely on their personality. What an absolute atrocity of a song 0/10 I despise this more than you can ever know.

My top 5 albums of the year so far!

  1. Olivia Rodrigo - you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love (as someone who has been defending her since 2023 I am so glad people are finally seeing the vision because Olivia Rodrigo can be an all-time great on her current trajectory.)

  2. Yulia - Kindness, she’s so Jealous (What an amazing and unique album honestly it feels like such a pleasant experience despite how sad it is. It makes me smile a little.)

  3. Paulie Swan - Swans Today (Lord may the uprising of the deep voiced poets kick start in the 2020s because this is one of the best written projects I’ve ever heard and it’s only 4 songs.)

  4. Slayr - BloodLuxe (Shouldn’t this be called blood if it’s the other half of Half Blood? Anyways as someone who loved A Great Chaos by Ken Carson, this has even better melodic potency and production choices with even more likeability from Slayr.)

  5. Oakwood - Blurred Away (Most cathartic release of the year I cannot believe they still have it in them to release something so emotionally charged and honest.)

Songs that make you actively go “I miss the old ______”

Most fun hit song of the 2010s in my honest opinion. If I were to be the way I was in the 2010s I’d be talking up Nicki Minaj the way I’d be talking up Sabrina Carpenter right now this is phenomenal.

You ever see a low rated sub-2.50 album that people are highly praising on the comment box so you take a listen and realize the comment section got it right?
