I’m currently developing a horror simulation game, and I wanted to share a screenshot of one of the scenes I’ve been working on.
I know art design is subjective, but I’m really curious about the emotional impact of this setting. When you look at this, what kind of atmosphere do you get? Does it feel unsettling, mysterious, or something else entirely?
Also, as horror fans, would this be the type of game you’d want to pick up and play?
Any honest feedback on the mood or the visual direction would be greatly appreciated!
Hey everyone, I’ve been developing this project for a while now and it’s finally starting to feel like the game I’ve always dreamed of making.
The core loop is built around a 5-day cycle, where each day features a completely different style of horror. One day you’re being hunted by a relentless stalker, the next you’re trapped in a supernatural loop with ghosts—it’s designed to keep the player off-balance.
I’ve attached a few screenshots/clips of these different 'styles' and I’d love to get some honest feedback. Does the visual identity feel cohesive enough despite the different themes, or do the shifts feel too jarring?
Any constructive criticism on the lighting or atmosphere would be greatly appreciated!
