I am at nit . Just came here today and on WhatsApp group seniors are asking for intro in proper format that they had provided in group description.

They are saying we want each of you and every intro .

Even if any short form is used they say send it again with 0 error .

I can't understand why our seniors are so free how do they manage to reach each and every message . All seniors are in group .

Tho I am completely aware about Anti ragging laws but still it is very sophocating to live and study in such condition .

It is not a healthy way to communicate with freshers .

Why don't any good senior stop the Bad one to let freshers live their campus life they haad paid for it many even from loan .

It is matter of deep concern for me atleast .

I am a fresher going to report On day after tomorrow.

I need assistance like do they ask other docs than which they have mentioned on their admission guidance notice .

Do they ask sign on every paper of your doc ?

I think it was Decent one (obviously not expected not suitable for living and studies) .

But i think it is above worst .

But good news is that I heard from ppl that we may get Good rooms from Dec time .

I will not say you are going to love it but yes with good friends it is manageable. Rooms are not specious but out side room we got sufficient space .

Bathrooms me kaam chal raha tha ..

Pata nahi ye log kar kya rahe the .

Rooms me bahut dust hai .

Bearish me Paani bhi ajata hai kuchh rooms me .

But because of natural beauty of Jsr thank to Tata Group views are good and it acts as Malhum on jakhm ..

Nit jsr management is working very very bad .

Fresher in Nit Jsr .

Must have gotten Hostel L , but due to carelessness of Worst Administration of the world we got Hostel I .

I show the videos of Hostel I and Hostel L , massive difference. Hostel I is so congested so Old and most important dont have separate table and chair .

Hi seniors how you adjusted in such environment?

Feeling bad and sick .

I tried to pay my fees but the website was not working .

So I tried one by one . I got receipt of hostel and mess .

But I don't got for my semester fee of 36500 receipt.

One website it is showing unpaid by amount is already deducted from my bank account .

What should I do ?

Hostel allotment me upper kuchh papers hai . Kya usko print out Karan hai sabhi paper ko . Aur kitne copies . ?

I know you expect some level of respect and deciplin from us toward seniors and college.

We are ready for it happily.

But imposing a colonial mindset to call you by only sir/Maam , will not achieve it . It will only give negative impression of you and college in freshers mind .

Even Many teacher and corporate are saying to not call them By sir/Maam .

Please understand it is outdated and totally absurd .

I know seniors of NIT jsr are very friendly and supportive , i have also talked many they are like Gem they helped a lot , then why Imposing sir/Maam culture .

Remove all inentity of colonialism from our independent Bharat .

I am doing my Bachelor's of Technology in Production and industrial engineering from National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur.

I choosed it because I am very interested in Management which is interested with tech .

But now I am stuck like how should I strat and what are skill needed to learn to upgrade my skills in same .

Seniors suggestions will be needed and your suggestions will really help me .

Just got the Mail from Dean of Academics .

It was a simple congratulatory generic mail .

Just had SOP and dates .

Nothing else .

I am doing all my education expenses through bank loan .

My family income is less than 100k .

Because of this i thought many time to give up my nit jsr seat and take admission into state govt college .

But my parents stopped me and said we will manage , but I know it will be very tough for them .

I am obc ncl , how hard is to take fee remission from nit jsr ?

As a Bihari , Chhat Puja is very close to my heart . Since I am going to join nit Jsr and getting to know that NITs don't have offical holidays for chhat Puja has really disheartened me .

I know most of us are from Bihar and Jharkhand.

How do you manage to go to home for chhat puja?

Do we need , Gap year affidavit or any kind of legal affidavit to bring during physical reporting at NIT JSR ?

Why People suggest to not take NIT P if same branch is available in same tier NIT ?

How is hostel , food , wifi , College life , and Peer group diversity?

I am a PIE student going to join NIT Jsr . Do I need to buy laptop ? If yes than of what kind ? Do in nit jsr Class desk have charging points ? I have to add it to my education loan my family income is less than 1 lakh per annum .
